I really want Kelly to be the UT coach. He doesn't like to recruit and his offense is starting to get figured out as defenses adjust. That offense will gain yards but how many national titles did he win while dominating the west coast for those four seasons that he was there?

Not so sure Kelly's success at Oregon would automatically mean success in the SEC. It sure didn't work in the NFL. Other coaches are learning this like Bert. Personally I'd rather have BmfP.

I would take lane kiffins odds as many times as anyone wants.

I will bet $100 to win a dollar from as many people who want to sign up at my website.

Zero chance he gets the job back.

I'll be very surprised if Chip Kelly chooses a SEC school for his next stop. He'll be the next coach of UCLA IMO.

I hope Kelly is smart enough to hold off for a job like UF or even A&M where he wouldn't need to recruit. Plus it would cost Tennessee a lot money to get him. I look for them to go after Brohn .

The success that UT has with hiring football coaches, the AD will work from the bottom up. The numbers are bigger so that must be a good thing.

But, seriously. I don't see the utility in firing a coach in the middle of the season without something like a Hugh Freeze, Bobby Petrino or Rick Pitino like revelation. Is the team going to be that different with the head man gone? The assistants will spend the rest of the season looking out for themselves (looking for new jobs). I mean, prospective hires know what the situation is or will be at the end of the season. I just don't see why you do it other than the AD and Pres taking pressure off of themselves from their fans that are demanding a change.

Les Miles at Tennessee would be a good fit.
