So using 247's composite ratings for each player on each team's roster, here's how the talent in the SEC ranks. I simply used each team's roster on 247's page which has the composite rating and star for that player as can be seen here:

I did not get down to the nitty gritty in terms of ineligible players (like transfers), injuries, starters vs. depth, etc...just took the whole roster and broke each down.
Here's how the SEC stacks up against another in terms of talent. 5, 4 and 3 stars are the only ones I counted. Rankings of teams are based on total number of 5 and 4 star players combined, if teams are tied with same numbers of 5 and 4 stars combined, then the higher amount of 5 stars breaks the tie.
1. Alabama
18 5-stars
51 4-stars
13 3-stars
2. Georgia
11 5-stars
43 4-stars
30 3-stars

It is really difficult to do what UGA has managed to do and that's not a good thing if you are a UGA fan. No program in this entire country has underutilized talent more than UGA.
And I can't really explain why. Richt had decent coaches, especially with Bobo.
I think Kirby with Chaney is a massive failure and will only continue this trend of a huge talent waste.

Dear Lord. Can UGA not get out of their own way? How can you not win the East with that talent?

It should reinforce in your mind that UGA may win the East this year.

Definition of asinine
1
: extremely or utterly foolish or silly
Example:
"Having 18 5-star players on a roster is asinine (or silly; ridiculous; crazy)."
Tell me again how I don't understand what the word means. Thanks.

You're not wrong that asinine can be used that way. But it's more derogatory in nature than a word like ludicrous for example.

Asinine is usually used with a negative connotation. The best synonym is stupid. Example "Using 'asinine' in that context is asinine/stupid."

I know I'm not wrong. I used it instead of silly, because the word silly doesn't really justify how asinine it is to have that many 5-star players on a roster.

Usually, as in, not always. Got it. Thanks.

Okay man, if you want to say "Having that many 5 stars is utterly stupid, foolish" be my guest. Its not the correct usage.
Use that word in your next Job interview I guarantee you get hired
