I have some extended family that live in this town so i am familiar with its size. I am amazed at how much talent has come out of there recently. A google search says the population is 4,100. It says the coach is Zephaniah Powell.
Here are some notables (some others got smaller offers):
2019
5* DT Ishmael Sopsher
4* WR Devonta Lee
2018
3* S Tyrus Wheat - Mizzou commit
2017
4* WR Devonta Smith - Bama
3* QB Elijah Walker - La Tech
2016
3* S Josh Perry - Bama, Memphis transfer

Ehh I think the 2019 kids will end up at LSU

Sopsher and lee will be at LSU. Ed O ain't letting those two leave the state.

Ah, okay. Just thought it was interesting how much talent was in such a small town the last few years. Must be a hell of a coach.

Don't count on it. LSU's track record with Amite players are zero to none! Don't get me wrong, I would love for that record to be broken with Sopsher and Lee, but I don't see it happening.

Does this track record go beyond Perry and Smith? I know there werent any top level players in 2015 bc i did look up that, but not beyond.

So salty. OP was giving props yet you come and act like an idiot. Guess it's normal for you reading your last couple of posts.

Pretty sure a few of those guys are cousins. Bloodline strong.

Someone here encourages them to head east.

Vincent Sanders barbershop is Alabama's Rebel Rags.

I think the last player and might be the only player(if not then goes way beyond that) to sign with LSU out of Amite was QB Lester Ricard. That was 03' I think. He transferred to Tulane a year later.

A big year from Ed O would go a looooong way. With the WR class we end up with this year idk about Lee but I would be doing work for Ishmael Sopsher. It's a need and will be a big need next year. Hope we can land em both.

It would be but Ishmael Sopsher will be hard to pull from Alabama . Those Amite players love them some Alabama.

Smith is the only one, LS fans are extremely sensitive and over react.
