Auburn ranked 13th in pre-season Coaches Poll

That's fine. We have enough on our schedule that if we do our part, we are in the playoff no problem.

To high,would prefer 18-21 range. I believe the Nat Champ should be 1 until they lose, so Clemson being 5 so they can put the 1 vs 2 on ESPN is kinda shitty.

I wanted us to be 14, so 13 is about right. 13 is a lucky number for some.

We looked like a top 5 team at times last year, when our whole squad was healthy. We have improved at the QB position, and appear to have equal or better replacements at the spots we lost. Deserving of the 13 spot at least.

Like I said in the rant thread: I think it's reasonable, but wouldn't mind it being lower. But the second part is purely for selfish reasons.

It's a good position

Atleast it's not top 10, preseason top 10 generally doesn't end well for us.

It's like the fans who hate expectations don't realize that our lower ranking was partially the reason we were on the outside looking in during the 2004 undefeated season. Polls have inertia.

Edit: I think 13 is just right.

I know some people say they'd prefer we'd be off the radar before the season starts, but for that to happen, it usually comes at the expense of stinking up the joint the season before. TBH, it'd be nice to enter every season 13th-ish...
