Helmets with letters and words just aren't that great. It should be unique enough to stand alone with a logo.
Ole Miss is hamstrung by their offensive mascot, so they sort of get a pass. But still, just using powder blue, while a sharp look, isn't all that groundbreaking. It isn't a school color.

The best looking helmets are those that are unique enough to not require letters or words. You all know this is true.

Auburn and USC basically have the same helmet, their logo is just better. Both look good with all white uniforms.
I know we don't have the cleanest looking logo, but at least we've stuck with tradition. The block C has been around a long time and I'd hate to see us get rid of it.

SEC outsider opinion:
Mizzou should be near the bottom, bump LSU way up the ladder, Vandy one slot ahead of Mizzou and A&M is better than #13. Arky needs more love as well.
As a purist I'm okay with Bama at #1, but LSU has the best looking lids by far all just based on appearance. He got MSU correct... Ugly.

The Vandy one isn't very good.
And LSU should be up there. As stated somewhere above, some things just have a classic look even if they are ugly, and I think the LSU one is in that space. The colors make it look overbusy while actually being pretty straightforward.
Hard to explain but it works in a very unique way.

Yeah pretty much. Every non LSU sec fan I have talked to thinks the LSU helmet is beautiful. Sorry you have bad taste.
