Really, other than the rivalry game, over that time UGA had a home and home with Clemtech and they started the season vs UNC last year. Not exactly lining up juggernauts themselves.
Playing Georgia Tech every single season produces an OOC schedule that is infinitely more difficult than Mississippi State's all on its own.
We don't have to schedule any other power programs if we don't want to, but unlike State we aren't looking for the "easy" way out.
2016- We played North Carolina
2014- We played #15 Clemson
2013- We played #8 Clemson
2011- We played #18 Boise State
2010- We played Colorado
2009- We played Oklahoma State AND Arizona State
Add those up along with Georgia Tech each year and it means we've played 14 Power OOC opponents during the regular season during the Mullen era.... that's 7x more than Mississippi State, and that doesn't include an extra game against a Top 20 Boise State team.
If there is one team in the SEC who goes above and beyond when it comes to OOC scheduling, its UGA.

Since opening the season against BYU in 2011, Ole Miss has had a home and home with Texas, played (and beat) a Boise State in the Cfa Kickoff game (Boise was the team that WON the Fiesta Bowl and finished ranked 16), and opened last year against #4 Florida State in what was essentially a home game for them. They'll also open next year at NRG in Houston against Texas Tech, so Ole Miss is at least trying to schedule big time OOC games. The home and home with Cal isn't great, but at least they're actually P5, plus they did kinda produce the #1 overall pick just one draft cycle ago...

Yeah, and starting in 2018 State has a home and home starting with Kansas State, then NC State, and then Arizona.

A murderers' row of conference champions. Now I don't feel as bad about Ole Miss scheduling Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Baylor (in another NFL stadium game). At least they're not the only ones without a premier P5 OOC game (assuming Baylor is nuked into the ground)

Of the teams you mentioned, only FSU is a modern football power. So the rest are no different than BYU. BYU is just an Independent like ND. In fact, BYU is 4-2 vs Texas and Boise State since 2013.

Texas was ranked both times we played them, and Boise won a NY6 bowl the year we beat them, while finishing at 16 in the major polls. You could argue the asswhooping Ole Miss put on Texas at DKR was one of the final nails in Mack Brown's coffin too, but I guess the school with the biggest athletic budget in the world isn't worth scheduling when you can get the Stormin' Mormons. Likewise, BYU has finished in the top 25 exactly once in the 2010s, at 25 in 2011, but I guess they're all the same ¯\_( )_/¯
When was the last time State scheduled an OOC team that ultimately played in a BCS/NY6 bowl, much less won one?

GA Tech 2009, ACC Champs and Orange Bowl that's when. Ole Miss' schedules haved sucked arse about as bad as State's have. Your team played two FCS(I-AA) schools in 2009. I don't believe any other SEC teams have done that in modern times. Most SEC teams can bash our schedule. Ole Miss is not one of them.

Which bcs bowl game did the Presbyterian Blue Hose play in?

The most embarrassing part of Mississippi States OOC scheduling is all the school like UAB, Troy, South Alabama, Memphis, UMass, etc that you guys travel to to play on the road.
Y'all are hardly the first P5 school to schedule a weak OOC slate to fluff to your record, but going on the road to those schools on such a regular basis is just sad.

Eh, traveling to Memphis is basically a home game for Ole Miss. It's by far the most expensive ticket of Memphis' season ticket package, yet Rebels still typically outnumber Tigers in the Liberty Bowl. Memphis is Mississippi's largest city and de facto capital after all (though Mississippi's heart is really in its second biggest city, New Orleans), and it's home to a ton of Rebels. I'd be pissed if we ever traveled to La. Tech/Monroe, but I loved it when we'd play Tulane in the Super Dome before they (re)built their stadium. The AAC is certainly a step up from the Fun Belt too, but they're also certainly not P5, even if they're capable of knocking out blue bloods (OU, FSU, etc.). If Tiger High ever gets invited to the XII (never...), it'd be really convenient to have them as a more or less permanent P5 OOC opponent.
Oh shite, State did play a ranked team OOC last year. The mighty Bulldogs of Samford were 20...in FCS

West Virginia 2006. AP #10 Gator Bowl winner over #25 Georgia Tech.
West Virginia 2007. AP #6 Fiesta Bowl winners over #3 Oklahoma.
Also, BYU is 4-1 against Texas all-time, and 1-0 against the Ole Miss.

A state fan usng an "all time wins" stat to compare present day success between OM and state is the definition of failure.

Present day success? All you frocks do is brag about a national championship when small white dudes played with one bar facemasks. Don't give me that shite. You want present day? 55-20 bitch.

Mullen has not been consistent against the West but he does tend to beat Ole Miss Arkansas Texas A&M or Auburn fairly often. He just doesn't beat LSU or Alabama.
This is a good point. The fact we get LSU early and Bama late doesn't help, since LSU generally fizzles of late and Bama gets stronger as the season goes on. Not that we would have racked up a bunch of wins against them, but I think we could have pulled off a couple.

Straight over your simple head. That is the point. You hate when OM fans throw what we did when our grandparent's balls dropped yet you're going to use all times wins against Bama and LSU as some statement as to your current program's triumph over ours when all you have to say is 55-20
