Leaving Michigan State for a dumpster of a program like LSU.
Thankfully for him, he's a good enough coach that he somehow managed to make it work & turn it into a huge NFL payday.

If I recall correctly, that was an auto-check from the Punter based on the formation Texas was in. Still shouldn't have even been an option on that part of the field, but I don't think Saban made the call.

he recruited that big kid from Ga. I believe who had been kicked off their team for woman abuse. He got kicked out of school before ever playing a snap at Bama

Was kicked off the team because another girl accused him of hitting her. She later recanted - after he had already been kicked out. Kinda fricked up, IMO.
