There is an easier way to tell than trying to see it change colors with the mesh on the pole.
If you watch the TV angle you see the ball land on the other side of the train tracks. That camera is on the visitors dugout. It cannot see the tracks in foul territory due to the hill and the bullpen that go down the first base line. In fact, the camera from that location cannot even see all of the fair territory out by the tracks.
When I saw it live, I thought it was foul. After watching the replay a couple of times it was pretty clear it was fair. Not one protest from a MSU player or coach, and the ump down the first base line seemed to have a clear shot of it.
It was a crappy angle to try and judge it by the pole. The camera on the 3rd base side probably would have been a better view but with the bases loaded, it was probably focused on the runner at 3rd or some other angle.

From behind 3rd base the ball was 15-20 feet fair but hooking.
He crushed the heck out of that ball.
He crushed the heck out of that ball.

Sorry black bear but the view from the stadium was fair, it just had the hell smashed out of it. Aggies would have won anyway, so no reason to cry in your beer.
you don't really think I am upset because you guys handed state college their arse, do ya? both teams are ahead of us in the standings, but we play A&M next weekend. so sweep their asses if you can.

Aggies will host a super. book it
Only way that happens is if we win the SEC or whatever regional were matched up with is upset. With A&M's luck that's never happened. We've gotten the 1 seed every super we've ever been in.

They are playing their way into one
We would be very lucky to host. We messed up starting out 0-5 in SEC play.
We are now a good team, not a great team. We will be someone's worse nightmare as a 2 seed somewhere.
Perhaps we will keep playing with a chip on our shoulder and a bunch of freshmen in the starting line up.

clear to me the ball changes to a different shade of white when looking frame by frame. does that happen if its in front of the mesh?
We're looking at an internet video, of a video, of a tv, of a ball hauling arse way in the distance that crosses the mesh for a split second. All of that considered, I could see the ball appearing to change tone even if it passed in front.
To say that video is slam dunk conclusive either way, is dumb.

The ball looked foul on TV, to me. As soon as I watched Rooker's reaction I knew it was fair

That looks pretty conclusive to me. Foul ball.

It looked like it went behind the pole when you slow it down. People who saw it live said it was fair. Ump said it was fair. In the scorebook it was fair.

the right fielder and the 1st basemen both react like it's fair. I can guarantee you they would have both been raising all kinds of hell if they had even the slightest thought it was foul.

No dog in the fight and only saw the linked video. Ball looks to cross in front of the foul pole from that angle which would mean it's foul.

You've got to be kidding, the ball clearly disappeared when it was behind the pole in your own video clip.

The ball is going, going...
[
Why did the ball all of a sudden change? Its like its behind something.
Now I can't even see the ball. WTF!
Oh hey, its back. I wonder where it was.

In fairness (wait, why do I want to be fair?) it looked foul on TV to me. But MAROON supplied all the info we need:
Right. And no protests from Cannizaro or anybody else on the MSU staff. Not a peep. Fair ball.
Story of this game was the crowd absolutely screwing with the pitcher's head. Damn, I love that chant. Shewmake's grand slam at that point was almost a foregone conclusion.
