Look, I never will give a flying frick about the LSU spring game. And I find it mind boggling that some schools care so much about the spring game that 80k+ attend.
I mean, I'm right there with you in terms of caring about the spring game. I have been one time and that was because it was at noon on a Saturday while I was in school so not much going that early.
I just find it funny because you are going to have thousands of people just sitting on their coach that Saturday watching TV (many watching that spring game) but because they didn't go to the game they have an exciting life.

We talking about practice?? We sitting in this forum talking about practice?? We suppose to be the franchise team and we talking about practice?? Not a game... Not a game... We talking about praaaaaactice???? What are we talking about?

This logic is always funny to read
Why? The games are boring. Also, unless you have a bunch of EEs, all you're watching is your team last year minus the players that graduated or declared play a fake game and run vanilla schemes. I've been to one spring game and will never go to a second. They're incredibly boring. There's a lot of things I'd rather be doing on a Saturday afternoon in April than watching a scrimmage

Official numbers I heard were:
Paid attendance - 5,520
Actual attendance - 4,250
Given it was free, your sourcing is as accurate as ever

I actually take pride in the fact LSU doesnt have alot of people attend the spring game. It shows we have actual lives, and arent such pathetic losers that 80,000+ people line up to watch a practice
This comes from a fanbase that has a daily play-by-play thread about...you guessed it....PRACTICE.

For all of these threads, I'm going to say the same thing: did you really expect anything different?

So with only 8,000 in attendance, I am guessing that The Grove was only half full of red pants, white shirts, red bow ties wearing Black Bears? Of course, to be fair, those numbers have to include 4,000+ of those young coeds in their see through hopefully sun dresses.

You mean Ole Miss fans aren't so insanely addicted to their college football team that they don't put 50k in the stands for a practice?
Seems normal to me.
I bet you don't wear anything but dark pink and white. Don't worry though. You aren't alone. There's a lot of you crazies out there in AL.

Incorrect.
I bet you bend over to pick up the mic a lot. Get to it. Hopefully a certain OM poster isn't near you when you do.

It's a glorified scrimmage. No one cares if 8000 show up

This is the second thread that I've seen about this and we still honestly don't give a shite. Just as I said in the other thread, we aren't debuting a new QB, HC, or offensive scheme. I watched the first half on-demand through WatchESPN late Sunday night because I had nothing better to do.
I am interested in seeing how McGriff's defense looks but defenses are so handcuffed in Spring games that it's pretty ridiculous.
