I don't get it. I've been looking at the radar all afternoon/night. Obviously they're just expecting shite to blow up early in the AM...

Campus is shut down, though, so that's neat.

I don't know. Gov. declared a state of emergency and AU sent out a notification at 8pm that campus is shut down until 11pm tomorrow. Looks like the entire state of Alabama is essentially in the danger zone

Stay safe domestic Aubies. Seriously everyone should invest in a weather radio, it's the quickest way to get info and are affordable as hell anyway.

I live in Bham. Don't think I even turned my wipers on high this AM getting to work. Whole fricking office is empty. No one on 459 this AM either. It's kinda creepy.....

Yall shoulda been in Auburn for hurricane Opal or the snow storm we had one year. I was at a hurricane party working a keg and watched a huge oak tree crash in the yard. Auburn looked like a warzone the next day.

It started storming hard this morning but still at work. Our work didn't shut down but a bunch of schools did so the people who has kids conveniently doesn't come in.

All the schools are pretty much closed and a ton of businesses in bham are closed. Mine, not so much, but I'm sure it will be a quiet day because of it.

fricking pansies didn't show up to work here in Atlanta either. Hell my boss who lives on the Alabama line even came in and wondered where everyone was.

This afternoon is when it is supposed to get hairy, as the temperature rises. This morning was just a good thunderstorm.

ETA: Large hail is supposedly falling just south of Montgomery, traveling right up 85.
