Would you vote for him?

Depends who he's up against.

Bentley is from Tuscaloosa and I would vote for a retarded giraffe over him.

It depends on what his platform would be. I'm certainly not going to hold his previous affiliation against him. He's not a career politician, at the very least.

I want to know what he is going to bring to the table. Is he going to be for the people or for the establishment? Go a long to get a long!!

prolly get beaten badly. like 36-0 level of defeat.

if he ran as a Republican it may be closer, but he'd lose in the primary to someone more well funded that Bama fans won't remember for this:

Reasons to Vote for Tuberville:

- He brings extensive management experience to the table
- Would be a much better choice than Kay Ivey, Roy Moore, Tim James, and a number of other hayseed yokels who will no doubt run against him.
- He'd probably be able to handle himself on the big stage when representing Alabama. Basically, I don't see him embarrassing us and he'd be a good salesman for the state.
- I never liked him at Auburn, but I never thought he was "dirty." Therefore I don't think he'd be a corrupt Governor.
- His high profile would give him some political capital to get some things done.
- The Trump argument: He's an outsider who doesn't have to be corrupt because he's already made millions.

Reasons not to vote for Tuberville:
- He got lazy at Auburn because he didn't have anyone challenging him in Tuscaloosa. If he won the GOP primary, he'd basically be assured of two terms like Bentley. He has a long track record of following success with failure because he lost focus. Would Tuberville really be motivated to work hard?
- Tuberville is as slick as any other politician. He always knew how to get out of town before the firing squad and knew double talk better than anyone.
- His taunting of Alabama fans, IMO, showed extremely poor character.

FYI, I'd vote for him but only because I really don't want a number of other people in there.

Alabama needs Condi Rice to come home and run the state.

Probably not. Nothing to do with his ties to Auburn. He'd just be more of the toxicity of the state Republican party. Not that the state Democratic party is any better, but I'll likely vote for the Democrat just to break the super majority in the state. That is never good, regardless of the party.

I have to honest, the way he taunted us with his fingers cut me pretty deep and it may be a bad reason but frick him. He wouldn't get my vote. I would consider voting for sir Charles though.

I would vote for Tuberville 1,000,000 times before I'd vote for Twinkle Cavanaugh, who also declared this week.
