It's a real possibility that we've seen the last of TT in Athens. From I've read, he's headed home to get things straightened out. According to Rodrigo, Smart asked all of the players not to comment on TT. Something seems off here, so I don't think we've received the full story. Either way, I hope he gets well. Selfishly, I'd like to see him this spring but we shouldn't get our hopes up.

He's done until at least summer. No chance to see him this spring. Honestly, the likelihood of his UGA career being over is fairly high at this point. If he's dealing with a prescription drug addiction then his entire career could be in jeopardy.

Must be a prescription pain pill addiction since no oxy was in his system...

Damn, as much as I want to see him play for UGA, I hope he gets everything straightened out for his sake. Regardless of what's going on.

Is it odd that the police were the first to the scene of a "medical emergency" rather than EMTs? Everybody is saying no drugs or alcohol involved, but the police being involved still makes me a little nervous.
Its not odd for an officer to be on the scene first. It sounds like the patrolman simply found him out and about like that. Honestly he (the officer) probably deserves some credit for handling it like he did. Its not uncommon for a medical event to be misinterpreted. The "oxi" statement in the report is concerning. Prayers for the kid.

I just hope the young man gets better, he's probably our most talented defensive player but football needs to be put on the back burner in this type of situation.

Agreed. This situation could have gone down a lot differently. Happy that TT came out on the other side seemingly ok, even if there are some things to sort out. Best wishes and hopefully he'll be able to return, but health and safety's gotta be #1.

anyone got any updates on that Texas Tech or tater transfer?

Just another speculation....not pain pills but Ambien.
Posted on 2/24/17 at 8:20 am to DaveyDownerDawg
Yeah I was gonna say ambien has been known to really frick people up, wouldn't be surprised if that was it.
Also and this is based on NOTHING but simply trying to guess what in the world happened, but his actions sound like he might've been just tripping balls. Maybe he got some bad shrooms

I wouldn't wish a torn labrum on my worst enemy. They strap your arm down completely immobile. It's very uncomfortable and you must sleep upright (recliner)for at least two weeks. I don't remember what I was prescribed but it was pretty nasty, and I ate it like candy. it was the worst month of my life.

I can confirm this.

Anyone want to give me cliffnotes?
I'm assuming TT is gone from UGA for good?

I'm thankful that the police handled the situation well by taking Trent to the hospital. Player health trumps football. Get well soon big guy.

So what do you baws think the probability is that TT is able to get well and return for the season opener against app state?
I hope he gets well if he truly has an addiction or is going through problems. However, if this was a misunderstanding or he took some bad drugs, I hope he's back asap.
