Collegiate Baseball’s National Players Of The Week
LHP Jared Poché, Louisiana St.: Poché fired the sixth individual no-hitter in LSU history during a 6-0, 7-inning win over Army. Poché struck out four and recorded no walks over 79 pitches. Army’s only base runner reached on an error in the fourth inning. It was the first no-hitter by an LSU pitcher since 1979 when Bobby Landry accomplished the feat against Southern Mississippi.

It's weird to see an 0-3 team ranked still.

We sweep ECU and they remain 10 spots ahead of us.. yeah, ok...

OU was still ranked after starting 0-1 with a loss to a non power 5 team in football.

It's baseball. Polls aren't going to overreact to a whole 3 game sample.

Calling any of these a "poll" is a bit of a stretch.
Some of these are 1 person's opinion. D1 baseball is the opinion of 2 people.

That doesn't sound right. They have a good 7-8 writers. Why wouldn't they "poll" them?
Edit: regardless of 1 or 100 people D1 is consistently the best one.

D1Baseball editors Aaron Fitt and Kendall Rogers determine the Top 25 rankings.
They don't even poll themselves.
They call each other, debate what they saw/heard/read over the week and negotiate a top 25 ranking.

Ok big guy... Your point is made.
But the fact that BA still has ECU 10 spots ahead of Ole Miss is comical.

Also comical is D1 ranking A&M and UNC higher than any other ranking. No bias with Fitt and Kendall.

With all the games that they play I think they should move them up and down accordingly with the data available. I don't think one game is a big deal here but a sweep is a sweep. If OM had won the series 2 games to 1 it would be different but it is not easy to sweep a team, esp a top 10 team.

Football is a lot different. Can't even compare the two.

Only when OU is relevant, so, basically once in a blue moon.
