LINK
Regional Hosts (National Seed)
Florida (2)
South Carolina (4)
LSU (6)
Vanderbilt
Others in the Field
2. Texas A&M @ TTU
2. Ole Miss @ UL
2. Mississippi St @ FSU
3. Arkansas @ TCU
3. Kentucky @ NCST
This is fairly similar to BA's. The same 3 national seeds, same 4 hosts, MSU is a 2 instead of a 3, and UK is added to the field.

Well done on the scheduling. Some real heavy hitters in OOC.
Especially TCU, who seems to be the big pick to win it all this year.
Also not bad for A&M and UK scheduling some P5 teams early on.
eta: I know there are some big OOC match ups in football. But this is what I love about college baseball (and basketball) is that top teams never avoid each other in OOC play. Which, I know is in large part due to the number of regular season games in each sport.

I think you're reading it wrong. This is some silly preseason regional prediction.
But there are some great early season match ups. I'll get a list together.

#SECEast ... we're the #SECWest (football) of college baseball. Oh, errrr, wait ... at least that used to be the case.

Get ready for our bullpen gay boys. UF has a stable full as well. Something, something SECe stacked. Something, something, the rest of you fricked.

2. Maryland
No thanks. Didn't work out so well last time.

Might as well play TCU in basketball if we're going to play them in everything else

SECW had 3 national seeds and won the regular season & postseason SEC title. #Facts

True. Tanner was a stud. I'd trade an 0-8 football season to lock him up long term as A&M's baseball coach.

Let us know when the SEC West finishes 1,2,3 in Omaha and/or produces more than one team with a national championship.

That is yet to be seen.
Holbrook is actually a better recruiter. He didn't have Tanner's in-game feel for a game or head coaching experience from the dugout ... when he was first promoted.
This season will tell us a lot about Holbrook. He's further along now than Tanner was at the same point in his head coaching career. He took us to the Supers last year. He needs to take us back to Omaha this year.

Tanner knew which buttons to push in the game. Holbrook is all thumbs.

In 16 years Tanner took a bad USC program (0 regionals from 86 til tanner took them in 98) to a team that went to 14 regionals (13 in a row), 6 CWS, was runner 2x, and national champs 2x. He's an elite coach. His winning % at USC is over 70%. That equates to ~46 wins per season.

MSU & A&M won those titles in case you forgot.

Are you seriously so hubristic as to lecture us on Tanner?
LULZ
Ray was also at NC State for ten or twelve years, as HC, before Mike McGee flew up to Knoxville to lure him here. So Ray had that experience going for him before his arrival.
Chad could have taken a half dozen HC jobs but chose to stay here as HCIW ... he's earned a few credits to put in his basket. He needs to take us to Omaha this year.

I'm not getting the point you're making.
Tanner is on another level and by what you described, you agree.

Have to finish above .500 for post season play, fingers crossed DVH gets his shite together this year and achieves that monumental task.
