Are bad coaches getting a pass because of Saban?

Coaches that normally would have been fired already (Gus, Bert, Butch) and coaches that shouldn't have been hired in the first place (Ed O) will all be head coaches in the SEC next year barring something unforeseen.
Are athletic departments finally giving in? These guys are just figureheads until Saban retires. There is no other logical reason they have jobs at SEC programs given their histories, save maybe Gus deserving one year with Stidham to right the ship.
No program wants to hire an up and comer only to shove him in front of the juggernaut that is Saban's Alabama machine. The rest of the SEC might as well find "placeholder coaches" as well.

Yep, we judge all of our coaches against Saban. That is the real reason Petrino was let go, he couldn't even keep the games close with Saban.

I don't know but 9 years ago this conference was stacked with a murderer's row of coaches. You look at the list now and it's underwhelming at best.

I admit, the threads where bama fans feel the need to have everyone else suck their dicks is getting more disguised

Some how Chizik, Malzahn and Miles won SEC championships with Saban at Alabama.
Why can't Smart, Mcelwain, Butch, or Ed do it once?
It is hard to measure up against an all time great.

Are you sure they would have normally been fired? I think it's the other way around. Saban makes it MORE likely for a guy to get fired b/c everyone gets so jealous of Bama's success.
There is no way in hell Les Miles would have ever been fired 20 years ago.

These bad coaches will destroy the SEC. It's already happening. Saban coming in and dominating caused some teams to panic and make a bad hire, now many teams are stuck with their bad hires and it's starting to bring the conference down.
