Les Miles proved that a head coach can win games with quality assistants. He is a perfect example of how a team can win many games despite the head coach.

I would say Les Miles proved if you are a great recruiter you can get away with being a mediocre coach.
I don't think calling Chief or Cam "quality assistants" makes sense.

Most programs don't tie a hand behind their back just because they feel like they can still win that way. In 2016 with so many teams competing at a high level for talent you can't do anything but your best.
We will see though.

LSU IS A FINE FOOTBALL PROGRAM. I ALWAYS HAS RESPECTED THOSE BOYS FOR THEIR TOUGH HITTIN WAYS. I WISH THAT NEW FUNNY TALKING COACH LUCK EVERY GAME EXCEPT FOR ONE.

LSU hasn't been on the mat this century because of winning at least 8 games a year. Now if LSU doesn't get to the 8 win mark with a win against Louisville then you can by all means say LSU is on the Mat. And I probably won't be able to get up off the mat.

Yeah. I couldn't believe they didn't throw the flag on LSU either but I guess since the clock ran out it didn't matter.
