Yes, Alabama honestly should not be in if they lose the SEC Championship Game
Wow..... The we need to go back to the BCS and let the computer do it.
Alabama is one of the 4 best teams.

a rematch of 2014, which is the game everyone really wants to see anyway.
Which is probably the real reason Ohio State will stay at 2 or 3. For ratings they're praying it's Ohio State - Alabama for the championship.

This is probably what will happen, but I think the Big 10 Champ should get in over them, especially if it's somehow Penn State.

Yep - and after this weekend Michigan will drop from 3 Top 10 wins down to 1 Top 10 win.

Correct... I was wrong .. Michigan is the other
Both deserve to be in playoff

No way you can say that
I can show you their conference standings. so of course I can say that. You can either go by the eye test, or you can go by hard core standings. If you go by the eye test, then Ohio State is in and Michigan is out. If you go by standings then PSU or Wisconsin is in.
Personally, I think it should be Ohio State in and Michigan out. Again...Michigan has lost 2 of their last 3 games, and are not playing in their conference championship game to try to redeem themselves. They are trending down.

I don't think they want to risk missing this matchup, OSU is vulnerable and could easily lose to any of the three.
Also, this lets the committee save a little face by rewarding the conference championship winners (jumping an idle OSU, which they should) with something.

Conference standings alo showed Alabama finished 2nd in their division in 2011 but still played for the title.
Michigan was in the toughest side of the conference.
Ohio State
Michigan
Penn State
All on one side.
Penn State

Michigan got beat by a bad Iowa team. Barely beat a bad Indiana team and lost close to a very good Ohio State team in their last three games. The simply are not one of the best teams right now, which appears as if that is what you are basing your playoff teams on.

I don't think there's anyway you can leave out Ohio State. I understand not winning your division, but IMO, they are one of the top 4 teams in the country. Their lone loss is on the road to a team that could potentially make the playoffs, if they win Saturday.
Using contemporary rankings, they have wins over #5, #6, #9. Two of those being on the road in hostile environments. Their loss was to currently #7 Penn State, in which they needed a blocked FG return to win.
The only argument I see for Washington over them is that they'll win their conference (possibly). Anyone that watches CFB can see the Pac 12 is horrible this year,. Washington's two best wins are against #18 Stanford and #20 Utah. Saying Wazzu was a good win is mind boggling also. Wazzu lost to Eastern Michigan, Boise State, and lost by 62 to Arizona. And just a reminder: Washington was held to under 300 yards at home vs USC and could only muster 17 total rushing yards in their lone loss.
Combined record of opponents
Ohio State: 84-59
Washington: 67-75

I believe the winner of the B1G or the winner of the PAC 12 should get in over Mich. Ohio State gets their ranking based about 1 loss, a head to head match up against Michigan, and a strong SOS.

So Ohio State gets credit for head to head over Mich.
Michigan doesn't get the same credit for head to head wins over both teams playing in the BIG championship game?

It's amazing to see SOS used as an argument FOR a B1G team. My, how times have changed (at least for this year).

Might as well just put all conference champions in regardless how sorry the schedule or the conference is.
