LSU fan base is like any other fan base that is represented on the Rant. That's with the good and the bad, well that's if people are being honest with themselves.

and I especially love dbu who stood tall in the saddle right after our game and took it like a trooper.
I tried to warn dbu about cupcakes having razor sharp teeth but he wouldnt listen.
Thought hillbilly fans were the worse preseason all SEC everything but they may have competition this spring/summer with the cajuns reminding us how damn good they are..I hope they saw what happened to the hillbillies and have learned from it...no?

Alabama has its sidewalk fans. Accumulated them for decades. Been piling them on especially since 2008.
Auburn garnered a lot of the independents in the 80s.
LSU was the new, hot young thing in 2003. They sucked up the lions share of free floating independents in Louisiana and Mississippi.
The LSU fanbase was always loud and boisterous and the most colorful to visit Tuscaloosa when I was a student. But the sudden elevation by Saban has given them the mentality that they are great, they have always been great, and they will always will be great.
It's probably like Bama fans in 1983, only we had more to go on at that point.
God it's great time to be a Bama fan. 10 in a row over the Hillbillies. 6 in a row over the corn dogs. And 3 in a row over the Barn. All dumpster fires.

Read many good comments on this so far. As a die hard LSU fan and alum I can say that I'm embarrassed at how some of our fans act. It is pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I still believe a large majority of our fans are decent people. Sadly on this site you have what I will call an over abundance of assholes that are rude, vulgar and have the sense God gave a chicken. I blast their asses everyday.
I will give credit to other teams where credit is due. Once again I tip my hat to Alabama for their legendary performance. Make no mistake about it, years from now people will look back and be amazed at just how dominate Alabama has been. They out recruit everyone and out coach everyone year in and year out. Bama is the tip of the spear in college football.
Go all the way back to the Wisconsin game this year. Those fans up there were some of the most humble and sincere fans I've ever been around. They lost with grace the first time LSU beat them and won with grace this year. They came on the rant to pay LSU compliments and got blasted by some assholes that troll these boards. I'm not a fan of the north by any means, but I tip my hat to Wisconsin and their fan base.
And like LSU every team in the SEC has its share of assholes so we are not unique in this category. I support and root for every SEC Team during the bowls. I'm counting on Bama to win another National Title so you Gumps better not screw it up.

I think they are at very least as passionate about their team as humanly possible. For sure top 3. Now if we want to talk about class, then LSU fans would most definitely not rank high.

My honest opinion? The ones I've met in person are decent people - a bit ignorant on what's going on around them, but decent people.

Your full of crap. The LSU Bama game is electric but the fans get along fine. I go every year because both fan bases are a lot of fun. Lots of good natured trash talk with sharing of food and alcohol by both sides

Like most everyone's fans.. I think they are moronic idiots for the most part. Which is most fanbases..they are passionate though.
I just so happen to be born here .. I have a 130 inch projector screen in my man room so I don't have to watch the game with idiots in public screaming at 20 years olds...while knowing nothing about the nuance of the game.
My rule is if you can't acknowledge when the other team makes a good play or a fair call is made... you're not invited.

My honest opinion: Delusional, LSU isn't what they think they are. I think they are boderline top 10 program but not top 5. They think that money isn't an option but just lost a bidding war. The past 2 years, LSU's Athletic Department has been a dumpster fire. Idk how Alleva has a job.
