That's a tough match up

Just don't see how we end up in the Music City Bowl with Tennessee now being available to them. Unless Tennessee heads to Citrus or Outback.

So they have this as the SEC Bowls, if anyone doesn't want to click...
Alabama- CFP
Sugar: Auburn vs. Oklahoma
Outback: LSU vs. Nebraska
TaxSlayer: Tennessee vs. UNC
Citrus: Florida vs. Louisville
Music City: Arkansas vs. Iowa
Liberty: UGA vs. TCU
Belk: aTm vs. Miami
Birmingham: Vandy vs. Tulsa
Texas: South Carolina vs. Kansas State
Independence: Kentucky vs. NC State
Couple things...Auburn will get run out of the Superdome...Florida will get run out of Florida...Arkansas/Iowa may be a good game...The rest could be good games.

Would prefer somewhere warmer.

Do you think if we'd won yesterday we could've ended up with a better bowl or were we music city bound already?

I think UNC would roll Tenner

if the new rules with the latest SEC contract bowls are kept.
Arkansas will not go to the Texas or Liberty. We were at both in the recent past.
well, look at the this! It is a chart of the last 2 bowls the teams have played in, since the new contract started.
Tenner last 2 Tax Slayer, Outback
Florida Citrus, Birmingham
LSU Texas, Music City
Usc Cap 1, Indy
Auburn Outback, Birmingham
TAMU Liberty, Music City
Arkansas Texas, Liberty
Vandy Nothing
Mizzou Nothing this season
Ole Miss Peach, Sugar
Kentucky Nothing
Bama Duh!

So it seems that we'll either be in Shreveport or Nashville. I would assume Shreveport based on all the other options that are available and near Nashville.

You forgot ms state, I seriously doubt they would turn down a bowl invite.

SEC Bowl Pecking Order
If I counted correctly, there are 11 teams eligible, perhaps 12 if Miss State get in based on APR
Playoff Bowls pick first.
Cotton
Peach
Rose
Sugar
Orange
Fiesta
The playoff Bowls this season are
Peach... BAMA
Fiesta... NO SEC TEAM
At Large
Sugar.... Auburn
Citrus.... Florida
Group of 6 bowls, where teams will not be in these games more than once in a 3-4 year period.
Liberty ( No Ark, or TAMU)
Outback ( No TN, or AUB)
Music City (No LSU or TAMU)
Texas (No LSU or ARK)
Belk (No Miss St. or Georgia)
Tax Slayer ( No Georgie or Tenner)
Then comes the last two picks
Shreveport (No USC)
Birmingham (No Fl, or Auburn)

well, they are not bowl eligible unless there isn't enough to get to 6/6 at which point APR kicks in.
I think they are 4th or 5th in APR acceptance..

Best of what we have available to us I think. Didn't really feel like we'd be in the running for that one after Friday.

I don't know, I think Auburn is one of those "better than their record" teams this year.
They gave Clemson all they wanted early in the season, and lost to A&M when they were on their annual march to 6-0 before their yearly self-destruction in October and November. Plus, they hung with a really good Bama team for 3 quarters.
Their only inexplicable loss was the bed crapping against Georgia.
Their defense is salty as hell and could really give Oklahoma fits. The fact that OU plays in the "defense-optional" Big 12 doesnt bode well for them, since they haven't seen anything like Auburn's front seven.
