I have my Patagonia fleece on now. I bought it because I can and it's extremely comfortable. Should I have bought a jacket of lesser quality because of OP? I don't think so. Fight me IRL

I routinely end my squats with a set of 8 at 405....and I wear both Northface and Patagonia because back in the early 90's they made great cold weather equipment that was heads and shoulders better than the WWII/Korean War surplus that the Marines provided their infantry units. And who gives a frick what college kids wear. I have been wearing this shite longer than most of them have been alive.

I wear Patagonia because the shite works and is of high quality. When you get high atop a ridge, far enough from immediate rescue and shite gets bad, you want gear you can trust. My Patagonia baselayers and ultralightdown has saved my arse a few times. Others sit around shivering and I am taking off layers. Admittedly, I have shifted more towards OR but, I wouldn't hesitate to grab any of my Patagonia gear.
