Y'all were one of the first traditional SEC powers to become a primarily spread attack when Chizik took over. Before, y'all were a pro-style 1-back/I formation team. Do you want to go back to that style or do you prefer being a spread program?

I know wins ultimately dictate everything, but as a Georgia fan whose team's offensive style hasn't changed since the 60s I'm interested what your feelings on it are.

Dont be delusional. The spread running attack works when you have a mobile QB. Just ask Bama

I mean, their offense scored more points than ours did Saturday (7-6)

....only problem was our defense tied them (7-7)

cam newton won't ever play in Jurdun Hair again so Auburn isn't going to ever win another NC.

Yeh, they'll be ok, they've had luck with it in the past. It's just hard to pass up a chance to pick on little bro. Seems like Gus has lost a little confidence. He'll get it straightened out..................or get run off.

There are very few traditional under center offenses anymore. The spread also doesn't mean any singular style. It's just a formation of wider set receivers. Almost everyone has spread concepts throughout their offense.

Auburn used to run a hunh offense. I think that's changed with Sean White. I don't remember seeing him do much zone read when I've seen them play. He's not that style QB.

I've seen Bama run spread plays of every variety. Some from under center, in shotgun, no huddle, hunh, zone read, jet sweeps.

Saying a spread offense is pretty damn vague.

Even though Gus and company have recruited well, the team takes a massive hit every time we get an injury.
Last year and the defense with Lawson
This years offense with Pettway.
the question to me seems to be we are not delivering against top defenses. There's always a reason: injuries, inconsistencies at QB but I want to see if Gus can put up big numbers against Bama with a healthy team. I don't want there to be an excuse like "well we didn't have Kam/Sean." Even though that's looking doubtful now

Auburn's RB situation could've been really good, but Barber going pro and Robinson getting dismissed really left them thin at the position before the season even started.

Pettway will be healthy for the Iron Bowl right? I want him to be healthy and this is not a flame man. I'm very impressed with him and I truly want to see if he can run wild on the Bama defense.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Those players are better suited at DB where their athleticism will hopefully pay then more in tye NFL than the Auburn boosters for a quarterback.

I get that there's a running joke about the NC back in 1980, but uga is set up pretty nicely for 2018 and got a slew of great QB's on the way. Wouldn't be so cocky with that lifetime talk.

We aren't a spread team, but I love our offense when it's healthy and leading the SEC in rushing like we have most of the season.
