If not happy about this loss, I just wish it's not what it took to wake the fanbase up.

There's no "waking up" that needs to be done with our fanbase. We bleed our school colors and hope for the best like every other fanbase in this country. Damn right we should have been excited about being 6-0. Damn right we should have been pleased with how we got to 7-1. Damn right we should have been damn happy to be ranked #4. And damn right we should be pissed about this inexcusable loss. But "waking up"? Get over yourself. Just root for your team to do well by hook or by crook unless you're enough of a BMA to make a tangible difference.

Well put. Today sucks. We are perpetually irrelevant and once a year we face a cold reminder of that fact. Today is that day this year. No need to rub that in with I told you so. We are on the same side.

Sorry, my neighborhood liquor store operator and MSU grad told me Thursday he'd tase me if I wore my A&M gear in there Saturday. So I stocked up.
