So wifey and I go to a wedding of my sons best friend since he was 4 Whole series of odd things occurred, but I suppose its their wedding.
1. Groom and groomsmen wear converse chuck taylors with their black formal tuxes.
2. Maids of honor wear purple and silver sequened tinkerbell style "gowns". (Sorry no pics. my mistake.)
3. Music played while seating mothers etc... theme from Jurrasic Park
4. Music played on bridal entrance...theme from Frozen
5. Music played at wedding exit...theme from Star Wars
"Reverend" is some tatted up lesbo that apparently came with the bridal package that read some non-sensical non religious goop that did not mention GOD once.
I guess people can do whatever, but this seemed more like a costume party than a wedding!

Sounds like your son's friend (or his wife) is a hipster. Not a particularly religious or traditionalist crowd.
Their wedding, their call.
Their wedding, their call.

They don't sound like a religious couple. It'd be sacrilege (and silly) for them to crowbar religion in for no reason.
I say this as a Christian myself, btw.
Honestly the wedding sounded pretty fun overall.

Nobody said I was mad. I just thought it odd.

At the very least, it sounded like you weren't happy about it.

Show me on the doll where the sacrilegious wedding touched you.

I like non-traditional weddings. I also like to go to divorce celebrations where the couple is formally breaking ties in an amicable manner.

Sounds fun. Wedding party did the tennis shoe thing for my wedding. It was a great call. Our feet thanked us after hours on the dance floor.

Stuck in an infantile mental state, define themselves by the media they consume, and desperately tries to appear whacky and quirky which is mistaken as fun. Definitely sounds like a millennial.

Oh my, their "wedding" sounds so different and kitschy. Tattoos and a lesbian?? How original!!!!
Surely nobody bragged about the uniqueness on social media sites.
Today, if you want to be a rebel, you have zero tattoos, no piercings, get married young and go to church.
The funniest thing about hipsters is that they all look the same. Conformity happens.
"Hipsters" were wearing chunky black-rimmed glasses in the mid 90s. It's all recycled crap.

It's spelled Millennial. Two L's, two N's. We Millennials definitely have a knack for trying too hard to be cutesy and original in everything we do, and we seem to suffer from major identity crises. We're highly entitled and we lack a true disaster or challenge in our times to give us perspective on how life hard has been for others. It's all very irritating to watch.
That said, we've done some things right, and as the majority of the generation reaches their 30's and matures a bit, I think we'll start to make up for our childish shortcomings in our teens and twenties. I mean, look at Generation X. They were the "slacker" generation - sort of a watered down precursor to everything annoying the Millennials do. The baby boomers? They invented hippies - a subculture that goes toe-to-toe with hipsters for annoying tendencies. The baby boomers were fine when they started losing hair and realized that making drum circles and living in communes wasn't the answer. Generation X was fine when they realized they weren't going to be Nirvana and maybe they should get a real job. The Millennials are going to be fine when they realize they can't go about living their whole lives as giant children, and that there are bigger things to worry about that someone getting offended on the Internet on the behalf of someone else's trivial plight.

And they'll use the same lawyers their parents used to get divorced.
