or what happens when
Bama 13-0
Michigan 13-0
Clemson 13-0
Washington 13-0
WVU 12-0
Western Michigan 13-0
Boise State 13-0
playoffs needs to be 8 all at-large bids.

What would the computers say?

Boise State would be 13-0 under this scenario. Mountain West has a title game now.

That one's brutally simple.
1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Clemson
4. Washington

You honestly believe an 11-1 Michigan stays home over 11-2 Wash St? I have some land to sell you =)
If I was wrong, the BCS would have been expanded to encompass 4 teams. They didn't do that, therefore, that is not what the PTB want.
The PAC 12 champion could have 3 losses this year. They are not going to be left out for a third straight year.

Would turn many fans off from the sport. Plus WVU has a higher ranked schedule than Washington and Michigan.

I get your thought process, but I am telling you...they made the change so they would have the control and not some computer formula. There are no TV rating predictors in the old BCS formulas, and it is about the money first and foremost.

Is Oregon not in the PAC 12? They won the conference in 2014 and were in the title game against Ohio State.

They really don't.
FBS Strength of schedule (record)
West Virginia: 39-38
Washington: 41-39
Michigan: 48-39

Agree. The BIG 12 is garbage. They will not send a team to the playoff unless other teams lose and force the committee to include them.
*Oklahoma lost to Ohio State and Houston
*TCU lost to Arkansas
*Kansas State lost to Stanford
*OK State lose to Central Michigan
*Texas lost to Cal
*Texas Tech lost to Arizona State
*Iowa State lose to Northern Iowa and Iowa
*Kansas lost to Ohio and Memphis
That's 11 OOC losses for the league, and only one of those opponents is in the Top 25 (Ohio State). They only have 12 OOC wins total against FBS opponents.
Oklahoma State's win over Pitt is going to end up being the best OOC win for the entire BIG 12 conference.
My honest opinion is that unless West Virginia or Baylor can finish 12-0, the Big 12 ought to be banned from the playoff all together. A 1-loss team from the BIG 12 has no business in the playoff.

Alabama and Wisconsin are both locks, under that scenario.
The rest would be a shite show.
I would guess Louisville and Michigan. Could see aTm over Michigan, too. Would depend on how closely Michigan loses at Ohio State.
I think Louisville would be in. Most people think they're better than Clemson anyway, and that would be their only loss.

Wouldn't it be more chaos if Bama lost to someone in the SECCG?
So every conference champ has 2 losses and there are teams who have 1 who are not conference champs
