For all of the arse kickings he's giving out on a weekly basis, he's rightfully been named the Midseason Defensive Player of the Year for college football by NFL.com

quote:

Defensive Player of the Year: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
Michigan's Jabrill Peppers has had an outstanding year, but Evans has faced tougher competition than Peppers. The former JuCo transfer leads a much-improved Aggies defense in tackles (48) with an aggressive approach to run support, and has played a huge role in TAMU's biggest games. He intercepted UCLA star QB Josh Rosen twice, made 12 stops against Auburn, and added an interception and two breakups against Tennessee. And the NFL has taken notice. One NFL executive called Evans a better player than Oakland Raiders 2016 first-round pick Karl Joseph, and expects him to be a top-20 pick in 2017.

He blows people the f up, and when he does it, he leads with his shoulder and not his helmet so they're clean licks.

I have a sip friend that is genuinely a great guy. But he's massively obsessed with all things aggy so I tend to not talk sports with him because it seems to unhinge him.

So the other day, out of the blue, he says "you know what I hate about your safeties?" And of course I have no idea...I mean what kind of monster wouldn't love our safeties right down to the bottom of their heart? Anyway, he continues, "every single time they make a play they celebrate like they just won the Super Bowl. Gyrating around. Mugging the camera. Seriously, act like you've been there before ffs"

And I just sort of laughed it off but I thought about it later. When we played LSU in the CB after the 2010 season, their DBs did exactly this and it rustled my jimmies to no end. I mean I was honest to god legit rustled that whole game.

And this is the kind of rustling that is so deep seeded that it is brought up out of the blue by a fan of a team we don't even play, right in the middle of a charity auction....frick guys, at that moment, I realized it's not possible to have more aggy love in my heart for our DBs than I do
