The LSU-UF game was meaningless. UT has pretty much already clinched the east with wins over both UGA & UF. LSU isn't competing for the west. They don't even have a coach. Their star RB is sitting out waiting for the draft.
Lets focus on the game of the week, possibly year, when the Vols come to Kyle Field. A true clash of Titans.

LSU fans, in truth, have a right to be miffed.
But they're going to use this to bolster the laughable idea that LSU somehow turned into a formidable football team in the last 10 days. Of course, that notion will be invalidated soon and you won't hear much about the cancellation after that.

In the sense that all games mean something to the players and fans, sure, but when it comes to the playoffs, sec title game, and the major bowls it really was. That is just how the schedule played out in the east with UF/UGA/UT all playing early and LSU starting 2-2 before the meat of the schedule even started.
