what a little bitch. If whatever school you supported were winning like bama is I have no doubt in my mind you'd be just as proud.

If you didn't have football you all would be equivalent to hot garbage. When Saban leaves I am gonna enjoy watching you suck like you did from 1997-2007. Yeah, you had a couple 10 win seasons in that span but who gives a frick?? That was a rough time to be a gump. What I am getting at is that every school goes through rough patches. So pipe down gumps.
Chill out, bmy.

Tell me this, when has Alabama ever hired a coach the caliber of Saban immediately after having a coach the caliber of Saban leave?
When we hired Frank Thomas after Wallace Wade left.

Alabama and UT have never met in the SEC title game for the same reason.
Usually because one team has to win in the regular season which makes it tougher for the losing team to win their division. Alabama and UT never played each other in the SECCG in the 90's when both teams were good, either.

NO ONE saw Nick Saban coming until LSU took a chance on him. That can happen again.
Nick Saban wasn't Nick Saban then. He was just the coach at Michigan State. He was 34-24-1 at MSU and just had his first season with more than 7 wins.

That certainly was a rough patch. Second roughest in school history with the 50s probably being the worst.

Still though, Bama had 3 x 10+ win seasons, won an SEC championship, and won the west another time but couldn't compete due to probation.

Lots of schools would love to call that their rough patch and would love even more to see those rough patches only come around every 50 yrs.

The chairman of the football started In 2000 club is in the house.

I'd rather be a national icon in one sport than pretty good in a bunch and I'd rather that sport be football.

That's right buddy!!! Submit to your superiors!! The fact that you created another call name just to post your frustration is proof that we are in your head!!! Whatever you do you cannot stop hating and thinking about the 1 trick pony "Alabama" - Hey.....honestly it's a good trick though right?

Dude, seriously, give Alabama at least something. Without college football, that state would be another Mississippi. At least the people who live there can beat their chest and feel proud about something.

Besides, without Alabama, bandwagon fans wouldn't have a team to root for. Almost everyone on this board likely knows one person who is a Cowboys (or 49ers)/Yankees/Bama fan. Those are the people we know to dismiss all sports opinions during conversations.

So yeah I would like LSU to win a lot more, but at least I have some other stuff I can hang my hat on when we lose.

No it doesn't.

It's called "inclusive".

That was exactly my point.

Who is the Nick Saban of today that could come to LSU and win a championship in 4 years?

IOW, LSU could go with someone not on the A list, and still get a great coach.

which included an SEC Championship) was the exception not the rule for Alabama.
You can't rely on Alabama having a reduction of 20 scholarships to even things out. Won't happen again.

Yes, Alabama will come down off this historic high never seen before in CFB and sports in general.
They'll regress back to their mean. But Bama's mean is averaging a National Championship and 2-4 SEC Championships per decade.

I'd like to nominate this as post of the year!!

It's simple, effective, and true. Everyone who thinks Bama will go be being the Vanderbilt/MS State/ Ole Miss of the SEC when Saban leaves and can't recognize the overall history of Bama's program is either blind, in denial, or just plain stupid. Which one are you?

Hell, Miles had a better win% and just as many national championships as Gene Stallings.

I'm no Miles hater. I believe he's a much better coach than he was given credit for by the majority of LSU fans and posters on the Rant. But Stallings went 70-16 on the field for an .814 winning percentage at Bama with an undefeated NC team in 1992. Not saying Stallings was better but don't see how you can make the statement Miles > Stallings. Hell, they were a lot alike. Both exemplary human beings who fielded fantastic defenses and special teams while complementing them with a one dimensional offense.
