After a prize recruit in the area? How does this happen?

I was in Boston last weekend and saw a poster for UMass's home schedule. I was shocked when I saw Mississippi State on it

Tulane backed out of our game contract last year so they were basically the only team available that needed a game.
Alot of our fans are using this game as a boston vacation as well.

Because big programs will pay lesser opponents to come take an arse-whipping in a tune-up game. We did it with Prairie View. UMass is doing it with State.

I mean does it really bother you that MSU is playing at UMASS?

Texas once visited Tulane, Utep, and Rice
Its what some programs do

In state schools, most schools do this. Tulane is close and in the middle of a talent rich state.

Because they are State. Maybe Scott Stricklin can land a home-and-home with UMass for the Gators if they are so lucky.

Yet UT isn't playing at UMass

We're also playing in Provo, UT this year. God forbid a small market team like MSU attempt to spread it's brand nationally. What the hell is our marketing department/AD thinking?

Hey, State is just doing what Vandy is doing this week (@ Western Kentucky). It's what powerhouses like State and Vandy do.

Yet, despite all that, UMass' attendance figures rose for the second consecutive year in 2014, as the Minutemen drew an average of 16,088 to once again set a new program record.

Tennessee fans jealous about state playing at Gillette stadium? When did this happen?
Are we now seeing the annual post Florida game Tennessee melt before the actual game happens?

I couldn't imagine three weeks in Boston.

It's also a very good experience for a lot of our players. A lot of them have never been outside the state of MS. Why don't you worry about how awful UT has been and is still currently. Also, as I recall the last time UT played MSU we face fricked you guys like the bitch your program is.
