Eric Reid joins Kap in protest of the "oppression the flag stands for"
Was he a political activist on campus, too, or is this sort of activism new for Reid?
(side note: his pick against Bama in 2011 may well have been the play of that game)

It's pathetic and shameful.

That proves it. LSU is anti-American.

I'll say what I said on the TR. faux patriotism is hysterical. Folks consistently trash America, its president, the nominees, foreign affairs, government, etc
But as soon as someone protests in a non violent way mind you, it's this huge deal. I may not agree with Reid in the slightest, but it's his right to call attention to something he feels is important. That's America and that's his right. I've no issue with it.

First it was Dixie and the Confederate flag.
Now it's the national anthem and the US flag.
As long as they don't protest:

His twitter makes him seem like he takes a reasonable stance on these issues
He's intelligent and seems like a family man. I would love to hear him actually speak on the issue.
smh.
Payton basically said he has a rule against it. I wonder what would happen if someone broke it

Kaepernick kneeled next to Nate Boyer, a former Green Beret who went to training camp with the Seahawks last year as a long snapper.

In Oakland, Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane also sat on the bench behind his standing teammates as the national anthem was performed before Seattle’s game against the Raiders.

Is anybody else canceling their Sunday Ticket if this thing takes off? I'm not paying $50/month for an oppression lesson.

The players have the right to protest.
The fans have the right to disagree and boycott buying tickets and merchandise.
Owners have the right to bench/cut those players because it is causing distractions or losing money.
That's how this country works.
