Also I'm not worried about a drop in enrollment. I think the boom was not a good thing and we didn't have the faculty and resources in place to support. Thus the academics suffered slightly.

The more red the neck, the most rustled.

Aggy president Loftin drove Missouri into the ditch after getting run off from College Station.
Aggy wants to build a statue of a man who made the "100-year decision" to sever ties with state of Texas rivals and get their head caved in in the sec (and who was neck-deep in the Missouri nonsense).

There was a multicultural group (so what if it is "multicultural?")
addressing the some of the protestors concerns (what concerns 'of the protestors" were in any way legitimate)
or even before they had their little hissy fit (little hissy fit? resignation of head of U system, threaten cancel football, shut down the University equals "hissy fit?" Do you even recognize it wasn't the protestors, it was the U. of Missouri administration?)
- it wasn't moving fast enough (WHAT wasn't moving fast enough? WTF is all of this? You don't even recognize how absolutely idiotic even paying attention to that smorgosboard, 1960s BS was do you?) for them.
A few members of this group spoke out after the protests - they were intimidated by the loudmouths and felt threatened by them (WTF is this BS?),
but completely disagreed with their viewpoints and tactics. This group (WTF is this "group" and why do they even have any credence setting policy?),
from all different colors, cultures, creeds and parts of campus, including administration, (SO WHAT WHO THEY ARE, THEIR COLOR, THEIR CREED... WTF does all that have to do with policy and procedure?)
will keep working to recommend improvements where they need to be made. (improvements in what, give to whom, and what is the qualifications of the recommending group.. is it just that they are multi-cultural?)
You and apparently the admins at the U Moo just don't get it. It doesn't matter the composition, color, creed, background, etc. of a "group" if their purpose is BS. Regardless of their color, creed, or "parts of campus" (oh god, what the fk is this inane pile of steaming mental garbage?) BS is still BS.
If you cannot see it or admit it that is your problem and also Missouri's.
If you think coming on here and spouting politically correct BS by connecting a few buzz words with an empty pile of hot mess intellectual vomit is going to create a calming impression ... well .... you are partly right. It did create "an impression" ... of spineless ivory tower incompetence. Worse is the impression of CONTINUING incompetence that might rub off on respectable institutions or tar them with the same crappy nation-wide impression.
Missouri now represents all that is wrong in higher education. Welcome to Brave New World Missouri... now GTFO of the conference and go where you find like minded people.

LINK I know this is an easy troll subject, but I am trying to get some real answers. How do you view your university and are you concerned about its long term future?
Not worried. It will be over (the enrollment effects) within 3 years.

They missed some during the count. They were tucked away in the safe space zones.
That killed that school

We get it, you hate A&M and your anger lead you to this site. Will you please not let the rest of us suffer by your posting?

The only place any of this gets discussed anymore is on here. There was a dip this year and it will start coming back up next year. Part of the problem is, a Missouri kid can go to Arkansas for less than he/she can go to Mizzou. Not sure how many do, but I know a few that have just for the savings.

There is talk that Mizzou is going to lose AAU status like nebraska did...
Talk on forums? A&M would be more likely to lose AAU than MU would.

You get what you pay for in that instance though.

Yes (but not really). Specifically because USDA grants are not factored into AAU calculations.
Actually there was a report that was in circulation that ranked the school towards the bottom (depending on how you weighted the results we went from dead-last to high 50s). But this is a fixable issue, and was almost a political fight to how grant funds were allocated to the system schools.
I completed by graduate coursework there and still get to hear all the gossip from colleagues that stayed.
I am not worried about it.

Mizzou will be fine. It's fun to make fun of them over that stupid shite that happened a while back, but at the end of the day Mizzou will produce pieces of paper that are actually worth something.
