Spinoff: how do we get more Pac-12/SEC matchups?

The other thread really pointed out how rarely the SEC plays PAC 12 and that is disappointing. Im sick o the Big 12. Im sick of the ACC. And I'm definitely sick of playing the Big 10. What should we do?
A bowl game? Where should this bowl game be?
There are a few matchups coming up but I believe most of them (except ours with UCLA) are neutral sites which is pathetic. Nothing is more pathetic to college football than neutral site games. It's a form of cowardice.
But I also know SEC coaches are reluctant to travel out west due to time issues. So how shall that be fixed?

Legalize pot and allow their elite teams to beat up on Kentucky, Vandy, and Mississippi schools so the series looks less lopsided than it truly is.

What, you don't like playing your yearly game against Nebraska in the Outback?

Michigan state 2 years. Nebraska 2 years. If we play Penn State this year, I'll know there's a conspiracy.

For most of the PAC-12 its going to be neutral site or nothing. We don't want to travel all the way out there most of the time, they don't want to travel all the way out here.
Colorado or Utah might be more reasonable for a home and away. But Colorado really isn't in any shape to play most of the SEC and playing Utah is a lose all and win little deal.
If we are going to play the PAC-12 regularly in a bowl then it would have to be a Texas bowl game but they are quite happy matching up a Texas school against a SEC school right now.

You think so? I've always been kinda impressed with Utah.

It isn't very likely that any team from the Pac will be jumping to get ahold of any SEC team considering the Pac actually plays 9 conference games.
That only leaves three OOC games, and they honestly just don't need to play the SEC to bolster the SoS. Honestly, I think the SEC should figure out a 9 game schedule for its teams too. I mean, I'm stoked that we get to play TCU this season, but after that we still have to play three cupcakes.

We have a home and home with UCLA this year and next. We have Colorado in 2020 and 2021. We played Arizona State at a neutral site last year

It's not like they're all that rare.
LSU with UW (and OSU a while back now I guess).
UT with Cal, UCLA, and Oregon.
A&M with UCLA
Arkansas, AU, and now 'Bama with So. Cal.
Not sure if Colorado was in the PAC when UGA did their home and home.
UGA with ASU.
It's really not too bad considering the distances. I understand why we stay around ACC territory but it's been a while since we've played a P5 not in the ACC that didn't include a bowl game and it makes me sad. I would love to see a home and home with really any P5 team outside of the ACC.

They have the same stigma as say TCU with the "oh yeah, they are P5 now" attached to them.
The difference would be TCU was thought of as being a good program before entering the B12 and hasn't dropped off near as much as many were expecting.

Utah is going to be legit this season.
I think they'll end up in the top 10.

Oh I agree, they've done a great job of building up their program. But if you are a big name SEC school then beating Utah won't give you much of a nod (not as much as it should) while a loss would be held over your head for the rest of the season (again, though Utah is a quality program).
Besides, if most SEC teams are looking to play a team from that state then we have BYU willing to give out sweetheart deals to play us.

USC is the only PAC-12 team we've played since the 80's though.
Even then, we've only played USC (5), UCLA (2), Arizona St (2) and Stanford (1) over our entire history.

We need to shite can an ACC and or Big 10 bowl tie in and add Pac
We need to negotiate a deal that has their conference match up against us for kickoff classic games and even some home & home series
100% agree, it's pathetic that we don't play them more, I know travel is a concern, but we aren't dealing with trains & team buses anymore....

The SEC and Pac-12 need a yearly bowl game matchup. I nominate taking over the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl.

Absolutely agree. Totally sick of neutral site games and refuse to go to them. USC should be playing in Bryant Denny in two weeks. Attendance at these games for Bama has steadily been going down. If I want to go to JerryWorld every year I will be a Cowboys fan. So many missed opportunities to have gone to great away venues like Michigan, VT, Wisconsin, WVU, and Clemson. Seeing all the campuses and unique traditions and bars is what college football is all about. It's pathetic and sad what has happened.

Bruh. So.Cal is the only team we played from the PAC-12 and that's a 1-1 record, both games in the early '80s.
About the only perk of being an independent all those years. Had games with them, ND, Michigan, FSU, Miami, Nebraska. etc. While keeping on our traditional opponents like UGA, Clemson, UNC, and NC State.

And oh yeah, somebody needs to step in and DEMAND that South Carolina schedules a home & home with Oregon State

The Aggies have opened the last two years against PAC12. Not that hard.
