Whoa bro....You need to create a whole new thread for this.
Discussing tweaks to make the current OP better is in bad taste.

not bad taste but it seems pretty stupid for you to continue to bitch about what numbers he decided to use. But keep moaning about it, it's fun to laugh at others

For SWC, Big 12, & SEC.
Texas A&M:
Football- 7 outright + 1 shared = 7.5 points
Basketball- 2 outright + 2 shared + 2 tourney = 4 points
Baseball- 6 outright + 3 shared + 6 tourney = 10.5 points
Total- 7.5 + 4 + 10.5 = 22 POINTS
Of course, top tier. Excellence regardless of conference.

I should receive some kind of prize for getting you to STFU about the OP's choice of numbers

Just a thought - - When looking at "conference" ratings why wouldn't the ratings a step further and give extra points to teams that brought national championships to the conference?
This is a "Power Rating" and the true power of the SEC is the number of national championships this conference has accumulated in the last 40 years.
Example: MSU baseball shouldn't rate higher than USC baseball in the SEC because USC brought back to back national titles to the conference.

Or for you assertion that division titles shouldn't be used in football because "everyone shouldn't get a trophy".
Tell me, how many teams would get a "trophy", for each sport, in 2016 using the OP's criteria? My count is:
Football - 1
Baseball - 2
Basketball - 2
Genius level stuff you've provided.

Now I'm asking you why it's ok, in your opinion, for two teams to get "trophies" in baseball and basketball, but not football.
Quit deflecting.

You're not getting it, the tournament points are a completely separate entity. In my amended rankings, I awarded 1.33 points for the football champions. This means that in reality football could arguably be weighted the most. For instance, Mississippi State's baseball team had the best record in the SEC through 30 games this year, quite and achievement, and were awarded 1 point. However, A&M, won the conference tournament and got awarded 0.5 points. So MSU were the Conference Champions but only got 1 point. On the other hand, in 2001 LSU(9-3) but beat Tennessee(11-1) in the conference championship game and were awarded all 1.33 points all though they were only tied for 3rd in the SEC for best record in the regular season.
An argument against awarding points for division titles is pretty easy because, obviously, it is division based. A division has a down year and a shitty team gets awarded 0.5 points. Let's look at 2010 when South Carolina won the East and went 9-5 finishing the season ranked #22. They would get awarded 0.5 points when 5 teams in the West finished the season with better records and a higher ranking, #1 Auburn(14-0), #8 LSU(11-2), #10 Bama(10-3), #12 Arkansas(10-3) and #15 Mississippi State(9-4).

these aren't my rankings or system
Seems like insecurity is running rampant through this thread. Get a better overall athletic program if your school ain't getting enough points in a message board ranking that has so many of you butthurt.
Holy frick. And I don't give one frick about two trophys or not. My whole point is you are making a fool of yourself about points and who gets what for what. Holy shite, get a life

I'm getting it fine. Baseball and Basketball still have an opportunity for 1.5 points, football on 1.33 points. That makes no sense if you don't want to weight the rankings. Everything should be equal.

Or the least. Why leave that out?

"No to division fricking titles, shite lets give everyone a trophy "
This was an odd thing to say earlier in the thread then. Also, telling someone else to "get a life" in a thread you're currently arguing in is quite redundant, don't you think?
