"C.M. Newton Field" @ Commonwealth Stadium.

C.M. played basketball at Kentucky, then coached both Alabama and Vanderbilt, and then became our athletic director. And while we owe him for what he did as AD he did dick for the football program. Worse this only exacerbates the Kentucky only cares about basketball image because we named the fricking football field after a basketball coach.

Ok, I honestly had no idea that your football field was named after a basketball coach. That is truly bizarre.

Their baseball field is named after a basketball player (but I guess later, AD).

It was really to honor him for being AD here, but regardless, the guy is known for his stints as a coach. Yet another in a long line of jackass decisions regarding Kentucky football.

Yes, Cliff Hagan stadium is named after yet another former Rupp basketball player, and yet again, it is because of his stint as athletics director and not basketball. Regardless there can be no doubt the new stadium should be named after Keith Madison.
