You would lose that bet. Athens has the #1 student housing developer in the nation in Landmark Properties. There are countless high rises going up downtown, and they are student or hotel related with street level retail.
Just look up The Mark Athens. It's a half billion dollar student housing development off Oak St in downtown.

I've honestly never listened to him heavily. Not my taste, but I'd love to go to his shows.

The Mark, The Standard, Uncommon, Georgia Heights, a new Hyatt Regency attached to the Classic Center downtown, a 7 story Best Western going up on Milledge Ave, the new development in the planning stages for the old catholic church at the corner of Pulaski and Prince.
And that's not even taking into account all of the stuff that is going to be affecting Clayton and Broad as the city begins voting on different aspects of Jack Crowley's Downtown Master Plan (which was heavily influenced by the longterm development of Greenville, SC)

Are all other Clemson graduates as illiterate as you?

they were ranking cities though, not towns. CLemson is included in Greenville's CSA, and almost in its MSA.
US News cant realistically rank every city b/c they haven't lived in them, and everybody had different interests. they probably have a cold hellhole like Chicago in their top 5.
who would want to live in Athens post-college, especially smoebody who did not attend UGA.

A hell of a lot more than those who would choose to live in Clemson.

So you have been to Athens twice and you think you know much about it?? Lol
We have plenty of unique bars, Blue Sky is one of the best.
Again show me your links. I showed you one that had at least 80 bars in DT Athens. I showed you where UGA has been no. 1 and is no. 8 this year.
So show me your links of:
1. Clemson having more bars per student. 2. Athens only having 25 bars.
3. Clemson being no. 1 on a list of party schools.
Show me all of these things. Until then you can keep spouting off your nonsense and being obsessed with our conference.
I'm just going to repost this since I guess you missed it and wait for your answers.

Clemson doesn't have any other employers though. Athens is a big city compared to Clemson. Clemson is a true college town. But if jobs were not a concern, i think a majority of people would prefer Clemson due to the lakes and mountains nearby. If you live in Clemson you basically live in Anderson and Seneca which has more stuff including the big box stores and a mall.

i've alreayd addressed these. Clemson has been ranked as high as no.2 and linked that. I have my memorty CU was ranked no. 1 by some publication but I am not going to take time to research it, because this isn't important to me. i make fun of the party school rankings because it is baseless.
According to Google maps, Athens has about 25 bars in its downtown, in addition to some other restaurants, many of which also no doubt have alcohol. maybe Google maps didn't pick up all the bars, but I think 25 bars adjacent to the university is quite a lot. I searched 'bars, Athens, GA' on google maps and zoomed in on Broad Street to Washington street. take it up wth google if it isn't accurate.
I think CU has enough bars to meet the demand. That was my basic points. Again, UGA has a lot more students, including graduate students who are all over 21, and Athens is a bigger city than Clemson which is a true college town. It has more bars because there are a lot more people in town. My point is, UGA fans like to say they have more bars than Clemson, but they also have a lot more people. I never heard anybody at CU complain about lack of bars in town, and students went over to Anderson and Greenville as well at times.

Once again moving the goalposts.
The fact is Athens is a better town than Clemson, literally every single person on here knows that except you.
Also if you think Athens is a "big city" you are more stupid than you seem, which is really sad.

So first it's nobody would want to live in Athens after graduating and now it's Athens has this apparently booming industrial and commercial sector in which all of these people are clamoring to live and poor wittle Clemson is so quaint that it just can't keep up.
Pick a narrative and stick to it.
And stop lumping Clemson in with Greenville. It's 45 minutes away.

athens is a big city compared to Clemson, which is wut i said. Athens would still be there without the city, albeit with less bars. lol Clemson is basically the university and everything in town is there bc of the univerisyt
you don't get to decide for everybody that Athens is a better place to live. it has no lakes and not as close to mountains, etc.
on this website, yes, you guys love an Athens. lol
And i should point out again Clemson and Anderson are same area.

But it is apparently important enough to try to use in an argument in favor of Clemson's happening 10-bar scene?

Or listen to the numerous people in this thread that have lived there and visited there. Hell, if you've visited Athens twice then you should be able to recognize by sheer volume that there are way mor ethan 25 bars and restaurants downtown
