You gotta imagine that LSU stands to lose two of those (including the opening week against Wisconsin).

Lol, LSU will start off 7-0 like usual. Arky is the one that struggled early. Will y'all ever put two haves of a season together?

So we'll lose to Ole Miss again but still win the SEC and probably make the CFP?

That's what I meant when I said on paper. It won't turn out exactly that way. In retrospect, I should have made that more clear. Especially given the average IQ on this site.

Dak was a game changer, and we'll take a step back, for sure. But Dan will coach us up a serviceable QB

How big a question mark is Dan's motivation or lack thereof? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Mullen seems to have lost the fire he put into his teams in his early years at MSU.

An outsider watching e.g. the LSU game now sees defeatism instead of fire. "No chance of winning, so we might as well keep the score respectably close." After State blocked Arkansas' FG attempt, Mullen seemed to be the last person in Fayetteville to realize his team had won. In the Egg Bowl, Mullen looked like he wanted to be anywhere but DWS.

If Dan can fire 'em up again, middle of the pack is not unreasonable, but another season of his "I'd rather be in Miami" look, and State fans can expect the division cellar IMHO.

Kilgore , spend more time asking why so many of your coaches have been implicated in the Ncaa investigation instead of worrying about Dan Mullen.

I lose a lot of sleep wondering why an assistant coach would let a player crash at his house without charging the requisite $16.50/night.

For your future reference, I like to see MSU football succeed except:
(1) the Egg Bowl
(2) when I see one of your lame posts.

We'll be getting a new HC if that happens, for sure.

Remember that time Mullen bragged to the media about not finishing last after getting his teeth kicked in by the cheatin' bears?

Sounds about right. Except LSU wins west and Alabama gets to play again in National Championship? Am I doing it right?

But one thing I know for a fact is that the defense is going to be VERY good. As in, it's gonna be hard for your team to score a single point, good.

Your defense gave up over 100 points against the MS schools alone last year. They may be better but it will be hard to be worse. Couple that with the starters lost on offense, and it's hard to see Arky doing better than 7-5 or 8-4.

Exactly.

One team has to have one less win and one more loss. They must have meant to have Bama at 8-0.

We haven't finished last since Mullen's first year and for god's sake we didn't even finish last with Chris frickin Relf at quarterback. We also have Auburn at home and we're pretty evenly matched. Tigers will probably finish last

I love a good Alabama sandwich. As long as we're not the soggy piece of bread.

You probably think Memphis would win the East too, I guess.
