Missouri for bad publicity.

Where are you going?

Sometimes Clay follows up a nice point with some extremely dumb shite

A school like Auburn would be much in demand and would probably end up in the ACC or the Big 12, which would both compete desperately to add them.

Mississippi State, honestly, might fall all the way down to Conference USA. The ACC wouldn't take State and I'm not sure the Big 12 would either. The state of Mississippi just doesn't add much from a TV perspective and neither of these conferences have networks yet.
MSU is so fricking lucky they were a founding member.

If foxsports were ran like a business they would fire Travis and AL.com would fight desperate for him.
There is no logic behind his argument. You don't sell off one of your top assets to your top competition to grow as a business.

Oh geez, not this thread again.
The conference will never get rid of Vanderbilt because in many ways they are one of the most valuable, if not the most valuable members of the SEC.
Why? Since they are a private school it protects against FOI requests. Every P5 conference has a private school tucked away just so they can avoid that. If we get rid of Vanderbilt we would have to immediately replace them with another private school.
State and Auburn are both protected by being long term members who have major rivalries within the conference.
Yes, it might be nice to add UNC or Virginia but those schools are perfectly happy in the ACC where they are two of the biggest dogs on the block. We are not getting them, especially since the ACC has payment clauses out the wazoo.

The correct answer is: The entire officiating staff for football and basketball.

It will probably surprise most people to know that since expansion in the early 90's State has been more successful that Ole Miss. Prior to that who gives a shite. Ole miss is much less removed from 0-8 in the SEC than State is.

Since 1994, Ole Miss has ten wins in twelve bowl appearances and MSU has seven wins in eleven appearances. We are .500 against each other. But that has been our worst era in history.

It's a good thing the SEC would consider actual data and not make a call based on one person's opinion.
If you're eliminating State or OM, State simply brings more to the table. More alumni, more fans, continual growth, and the most diverse student body in the conference. Football between the two is comparable, give OM the edge due to history. State brings more in Basketball and Baseball, which are conveniently the sports the league needs to continue to grow in, and it really isn't close.

State has the most African America students in the SEC. If you kick us out we will scream racism and have Missouri go full SJW.
