I'm hardly the one casting stones about fans doing shitty things toward players. Every fanbase ever has assholes that take it way too seriously. LSU, Alabama, Auburn, UGA, Florida, etc... No fanbase in this thread has any room to get on a highhorse about shite like this.

With LSU cherry-picking 4* & 5* DBs constantly from Texas and Fla, I agree it's hypocritical for many LSU fans to be so upset when a great HC like Saban comes and gets a player from La..

Now, when a school like Aggy lands one, I just feel bad that the kid went all Kardashian..chose a shiny barber shop and whirlpool instead of competing for hardware.

Great post. Someone picking Bama is no issue really. Their fans are garbage, but the program isn't.

Aggy is another story.

Everyone knows the best barbershop in town doesn't give you the head rub. That's called a salon. Barbershops are where you get quality haircuts and learn something of value.

LSU stacks elite DB's year after year after year. We take whatever players we want from Aggy and you start a dick-riding thread about one kid that doesn't like LSU?? I'm sure that S Smith & K Fulton being on the top of LSU's board had nothing to do with Carter's...dislike. Your reality is that both Bama & LSU continue to widen the talent gap in the SEC West. You weaklings couldn't even close Jones or Anderson. 1 player in the 247 Top 100...aggy's fricked and you know it.

The rest of the country pictures straight up trailer trash when they think of Alabama fans.

A lot of that has to do with the way northerners (and, thus, the national media) look at the South in general. Alabama is the premier college football program in the South, if not the country, so it becomes the representation of all their preconceived notions of southern fans. We are an easy target (obviously,, much of it self-inflicted) because of our success and visibility. But a lot of that ridicule directed towards Bama fans is, IMO, directed to the region as a whole.

Seriously, no one really gave two shits where this kid went, we are stacked there. Now did peeps in the town where he is from and a few ahole LSU fans probably give him a hard time? Sure, but the vast vast vast majority really gives two shits about his choice. Good luck to the guy.

While no grown man should ever talk trash to a high school/college age kid for where he chooses to play football, Carter needs to grow thicker skin.

If he gets rustled over a couple of tweets from some jackass in Thibodaux, he's gonna have a bad time.

Top 100 players (247 composite) to leave the state of Alabama since Class of 2009
2012 - Jameis Winston, Florida State (#15)
2012 - Chris Casher, Florida State (#29)
2012 - Kwon Alexander, LSU (#87)
2013 - Austin Golson, Ole Miss (#94) (now at Auburn)

So, 4 kids in 7 years, 1 of which is now at Auburn and another (K. Alexander) that was not offered by Alabama due to scheme fit.

Basically, FSU stole 2 in 2012.

Personally, I don't care that Carter signed with Bama, but I'm not a recruiting junkie and I don't bad mouth them. I do know there are some LSU fans who do though.

However, every single fan base has people who do this, which is why I find it hilarious that you guys want to act like LSU is so much worse because of this site. If I went to each teams primary fan forum I could dig up threads and terrible comments made about every recruit that spurned them. It's not exclusive to LSU fans, it's just more readily available to this board because there's a direct link to the LSU forums. Of course, this is assuming most of you are intelligent enough to grasp that, which is a pretty big assumption from what we've seen.

Also, when Carter makes comments like this:

"Nah, I just don't like 'em," he said. "There's something about 'em I just don't like. I mean, LSU's a great school, phenomenal school, but it's just something personal I don't like about 'em."

It's easy to understand why some LSU fans don't like the kid.

Carter must have some serious insecurities. LSU really never showed any interest in him. Why does a kid feel he needs to come out and make any comments about LSU or the LSU fan base of which he lived among all his life.

Doesn't he have other bigger things to worry about like doing anything at Bama or more so taking care of what, the 2 or 3 kids he has already?

Oh yeah and Carter, "Nah, I just don't like you either. "There is something about you I just don't like".

The south certainly has a stigma, but Alabama does not represent all of southern football. I've lived in different regions and can assure you of this. No one has ever said, "oh you moved here from Nashville? Man, how about Alabama football? You go to many games?"

In reality the stigma for your program comes from having a large, vocal fan base. People see things on ESPN like the Gump run, the crazy OU game lady, etc. Those things aren't as advertised if, say, a Maryland football fan acts out at a game.
