#b4uAsk .... I have no answer for the obvious question. That's exactly as the NCAA sent out their weekend update a little while ago.

To put this into perspective, the average attendance for a Vanderbilt football game in 2015 was over 35,000.

Is it not possible for you Aggies to put another fiffy or so fans in the stands ... it wouldn't take much to surpass the whornes, especially given the season y'all are having.

But what was the lowest basketball average? Bet it was around or lower than those top baseball.

I would venture a guess and say that Vandy does not generate revenue in any sport other than, perhaps, basketball.
Vandy, it might be assumed, lives entirely off of the SEC shared revenue checks.
Nothing wrong with that - they are Vandy and they are SEC - but I'm just thinking they probably do not generate any revenue with their sports programs.
They sure as hell do generate endowment money though.

No one can ever call us bandwagon. We couldn't beat a decent high school team this year yet #3 in the nation in attendance.

They also don't play multiple games per week including ones on week nights.

I don't think LSU will ever be passed up in attendance

A&Mhas a large student section/general admission. Tu has more perminent seating. So on a weak Tuesday night A&M may only have 3500. Tu will never have below 4200-4300 with sold perminent seats even if they don't show up.

It really is crazy to think LSU sells more tickets to home baseball games than Vandy sells to home football games.

Yearly tickets you do.

10,500 * 35
35,000 * 6
35,000 * 6

Better comparison...
LSU 2015 baseball attendance was 364,700, an average of 10,726 over 34 games. Tops in NCAA baseball attendance for 20 years straight.
The baseball attendance for LSU baseball was higher than the basketball attendance for all but three basketball programs in the same calendar year.
Out of 100 schools ranked, only Syracuse with 429,378, Kentucky with 447,874, and Louisville with 406,338 had a higher total basketball attendance than LSU baseball attendance.
North Carolina, number Four on the total basketball attendance list, had an attendance of 293,723.
When LSU inevitably expands The Box, it will become the first baseball team to break the 400,000 attendance mark, just as it was the first, and so far only school to break the 300,000 attendance mark.

Just think you only needed 29 more games to do it.
