My relatives told me I needed to go the winery and wander around. I am not sure I even know where it is located.

it's nice, and they've got a good Port, but I wouldn't classify it as a MUST DO item. If you've got some time, go, it's worth it. Otherwise don't sweat it.

Depends on your age honestly. The winery is awesome if you are retirement age, otherwise it's boring as hell. And quite frankly most of their wines suck.

When I got married their the grandparents LOVED the villa and the scenery. My friends my age only liked how easy it was to find a place to hide and toke up among the vines.

I wouldn't say it's a must do. It's nice and I liked the restaurant when I last ate there several years ago, but must do is strong

I enjoyed it, but it is not a must do.

We did the B&B for one night. The food was good at the B&B & restaurant, but nothing special. The grounds are nice, but it isn't as pretty as the hill country wineries. For someone in Houston, it is short drive to score some points with the wife and down some tasty wine (I am far from a win snob, like I am for beer & bourbon).

My gf works there. It can be fun if you like wine and do a tour. I never really go because I don't like wine.

Messina Hof makes an unbelievable port, and that's about it.

The restaurant menu is kind of an interesting mix of Italian and German. I don't know that it would be impressively high end compared to nice restaurants in larger cities.

I'd check it out if you live there, but I don't think it's a destination in itself.

It's a fun way to pass the time. If you don't have a very educated pallet and just like wine that "tastes good," it's fun and you'll enjoy it.
