Rant's opinion on Adam Griffith this past year?

I think he'll forever be tagged and known for the kick six, but I think he made a good turnaround this year. Made a 55 yarder in one game if I remember correctly
Alabama's kicking position has been shite since Leigh Tiffin's GOAT year in 2009, but I have high hope for Griffith this year, which I never thought I'd say. Kind of ironic since it was kind of the same situation with Tiffin. Dude choked bad in that 2006 Arkansas game and ended up being a badass later.

Once he got the game out of his head and made a couple he was money. Had a really good turnaround.

He was much improved. But like you said, unfortunately for him the Kick Six is the play he'll be most remembered for.

enjoyed his kick against L5U. the tiger rant scoreboard melted comically hard over a first half field goal that night.

The kick at the end of the 1st half of the Iron Bowl this past year told me everything I needed to know about his potential.
It was a 55 yarder IIRC which would've been good from 65+. AU had a guy back in case it fell short. Pretty much said "Frick this Kick 6" and went boom time.

He went from liability to asset pretty quickly, it was clearly in his head. Maybe he saw a sports psychologist or something.

I saw continued improvement and was impressed. Made some clutch field goals and a very well executed on side kick.

He really improved and was impactful in the iron bowl and the NC with the onside kick.
He always had the talent. Just started producing more consistency.

No way the K6 was his fault.

He was fantastic the first half of 2014 prior to injury and the second half of this season. I expect him to be money next year, he had the mental part figured out now

He's got a great story, I hope he can be successful beyond football.

Exactly.

He has a monster leg, but he had some injuries that screwed with his mechanics. I think that got in his head early in the season. He got healthy and built his confidence. He was actually a huge asset at the end of the season.

As shitty as he kicked Saban never gave up on him.

The guy started off slow but then turned it on as the season went. Never been an issue with his ability... just his head.I expect big things from him again this year. Guy has such a tremendous life story. Hope nothing but the best for him going forward and hope he takes advantage of the platform he has been given to make a difference in other people's lives.

He's always had the leg. Kick six was an impossible situation to be put in. It was actually a good kick just needed a few more yards. 2014 started off great, then injuries nagged him for about half the season. He exercised all those demons in 2015 by helping Bama ascend back to it's rightful place atop all of college football.

Saban not giving up on him was a great move for Adam as a person. He lived his entire life without an identity and he was a crucial part of the 2016 national title and he will always have that plus whatever he does this season. I hope it will be even better for him.
