If he was starting QB, we'd be a 12 win team.

The best was Rudi Johnson.....
From 1998-99, Johnson won two national titles and the NJCAA Player of the Year honor at Kansas' Butler Community College. He then won SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2000 with his 1,567 rushing yards as an Auburn Tiger.

Can he suit up?
if this happened, we'd be favored by at least 8.

the coach who OC'd Auburn to a NC in 2010, another appearance in 2013 and had record setting offenses at Tulsa?

3-8 Chris Todd sucked, Tubbs last year, Gus Hired
8-5 Todd Sets Records
14-0 Cam (He got better as the season progressed
8-5 Barrett Trotter (Chiz made Gus slow down the offense and I think play Clint Moseley, Gus and Trotter left)
3-9 Folks point to Frazier and Moseley who sucked , but GUS was gone. Can not blame him for their development.
12-2 Nick Marshall a converted DB, SEC Champs, 13 seconds away
8-5 Nick and the Offense played well, the defense sucked, losing 55-44 to Bama.
7-6 JJ happened, Gus gave the keys to Lashlee, this is really the only starting QB he did not develop.

It's not a lie, and it's true Chizik made Gus play Mosley. Gus wanted Trotter all along.

I know that Gus tried to assert some control on Gus' offense.
The difference is, I don't think our offense would have been much better of Chizik didn't meddle

Offensive line was so bad that year. Damn..

So this is what I've been told by people who knew things back under the Chizik regime.
Gus would literally spend his time devising his gameplans for the following game. Then on the days (i think Thursday) when they propose these defensive and offensive gameplans, Chizik would look them over and literally tear them apart. Gus' issue was that pace was consistently removed from the equation bc he felt the need to protect the defense.

First that is hearsay.
Next, the same issues we saw in 2011 popped up again last season. Qbs not developed, bad OL play (injuries last season) and predictable play calling. 80% run on first down last season, was Chizik involved in that?
Lastly Trotter was a decent QB to begin the season. But The Matador AJ Greene was so bad at LT that Trotter developed David Carr syndrome by the time the South Carolina was over. I'm afraid this will happen again with Leff on the OL.

Well Gus is now the head coach and has removed pace from the equation sooo.....

You have zero clue if that's hearsay, anymore than I do since we weren't IN the room. But It's what I was told when Gus left and Phillip Marshall (who may be an old fart but he still knows people) has confirmed as much several times, as recent as this week. I'd conclude this is just your little theory to continue negabarning.

Our OL play was really good last season. You're on crack. The playcalling was bonafide crap last year, specifically once SW got hurt and JJ got thrust back into action. The offensive rhythm was fukt.

AJ Greene was the worst OT I've ever seen at Auburn. Leff is a much MUCH more technically sound OL. Greene couldn't run or pass block. Leff did fine when he played last yr vs the pass and was exceptional vs the run.

wasn't the case in 2014 or 2013. Pace has always been his thing after the first first down. His offensive rhythm was just screwed after JJ lost his mind. Then once he got SW into a rhythm, SW got hurt. It was a clusterfuk
