Deandre Johnson of Miami Southridge was just offered by Auburn.

I wasn't aware that it was a high school. I came across it on Twitter.

Looks like the Illinois LB transfer happened today...

He got into Grad school at Auburn today but I mean did we really expect a football player to get denied?

You stopped?

It was annoying for a while but now it's just entertainment when you melt. If anyone should melt before BCW, it should be you. Either, you're a fan of another school and trolling constantly or you seriously lack in logic. It is one or the other.. or maybe even both..

It's all in jest now I have almost no confidence in Gus right now so I don't really have any expectations. Anything good that happens is gravy. I've been here before though and we rallied hard so hopefully the same will happen here I just don't see how it's possible with our QB issues.

If it helps, there are a lot of things going on that you don't know about. We'll always finish strong in recruiting because we have, while not as much as some others, very dedicated supporters. I don't worry about us acquiring elite talent.

I would think the phrase "Ignorance is Bliss" applies with many.
I just don't see any reason to melt ATP. We have quite a bit of hay (talent) in the barn already. This is not basketball, so they can't all leave after a year.
I think Gus will be calling plays this year, and it is he who has been able to make chicken salad out of chicken tish, when called upon.
And Hey, if it all goes to heck, our new HC will have a ton of talent when he arrives.

Honestly though, if you had expectations of where Auburn should be recruiting, what would they be? Especially given we are the #2 team in state and haven't had consecutive 10+ win seasons since the 80s
While I am up in the air on Gus' ability to be the guy going forward, I don't have a huge issue with his recruiting. Frustrating at times but I can't argue with results given our situation

Could not agree more.
The only thing holding us back is QB development. If we saw some promise from that position, I doubt anyone would have a gripe about recruiting.
Hard to find another team who has recruited for need any better, QB excluded TO THIS POINT!
I am willing to give Gus one more year at a minimum, likely two, and see what Barrett (Nacisse) and especially Gatewood can do.
Gatewood is the Gus version of an Eason. He is beyond perfect for this offense.

Gatewood is a really long way away from seeing the field. Even if he's the second coming of Cam Newton, we have a lot of waiting to do. In the meantime, we have several seasons to play and Gus is going to have to produce a capable QB to tread water long enough to even see that kid step foot on campus.
That said, I think Barrett and Franklin both have the potential to run our system well. I don't think Franklin will start the season and I would be surprised if Woody sniffed the 3-deep this year.
Sean White looks good but I'm not sure Gus can adequately use him. And before Chris Todd is mentioned, I'll just point out that Todd feasted on lesser/non-SEC opponents (15 of his (22) TDs were against non SEC opponents, 9 of which were against ball state and Furman).

I've never understood how more poeple don't realize this. Todd was decent but we werne't beating any high quality opponent with him.
