The Alabama D didn't play badly, sometimes you have to credit the other fellow. I do think we made one mistake. The Clemson conventional run game was no threat to beat us. We should have gone on and sent 4 hard after the QB or even 3 sometimes with one or even two spies. They got in there but Watson kept slipping free. Flush him out and let Foster or Evans clean his clock. We had some success when we did this, which wasn't very often. There were times when their whole offense was Watson taking off.

That and playing a little more zone than usual.

Send feedback to Saban. I'm sure he'd appreciate the input.

I rewatched some of it. Watson kept them in the game by converting huge 3rd downs that we normally stop. That was what kept it close. That is why we could have lost. If we stop a couple of those third down runs, the game would have been much different.

Watson just flat outran some d linemen and lbs to get to the edge and make the play. Have to give credit where credit is due.

I watched to too - on SEC Network...one thing that struck me was that Herbstreit wasn't the usual anti-SEC douche that he usually is. I thought he and Fowler called a pretty good game.

Bama's d played like crap. They had a great year, but Watson tore them up. The last few years bama's d has had some really bad games. Next year bama losses at least three games.

You gotta contain him or he'll beat you with his legs. Watson threw to perfection which is what you want a qb to have to do. 3 things happen in a pass and two of them are not prime. He just happened to be.

Only Bama fans would be picking apart a win in the title game two weeks after the fact.

I'd actually love to watch that game again.

I believe Bama's D had two huge stops when Clemson was up 24-21. These defensive stops were so crucial.

Clemson had just scored 10 straight points in the 3rd and twice could've gotten a two score lead afterwards. Bama's Defense stopped Clemson two continuous possessions for no points. That's even with Clemson having great field position, they crossed the 50 yard line both times, and had all the momentum at that time. Bama's defense stepped up and didn't let Clemson score a single point on either of those two possessions when Clemson had a 24-21 lead. I don't think Bama wins that game if Clemson takes a 2 score lead there.

Not sure, but one of those possessions was when Bama finally finish the job with a QB sack. That sack was huge and force Clemson to kick again instead of going up 2 scores. 24-21 is way different than 31-21 or even 27-21. What a game that was and it was full of one huge play after the other.

Is the Bama Secondary afraid to play bump and run. They were getting killed on timing routes

you got yur arse whipped up and down the field with inferior talent and depth....your o line got blown up--it took busted plays to oj, the onside kick, and special teams td, the int and a missed field goal to barely win

oh not to mention if henry doesnt get in by an inch, and u kick the field goal..

Anybody know when ESPN will re air the NCG? I recorded it from the other day and I got the lame "homers edition" broadcast.
I just want the original Fowler, Herbstreet broadcast.
