He mentions them every now and then but if he ends up at MSU I would consider it a gargantuan surprise.

I can't name one MSU person who actually believes we ever had a shot.

You Georgia fans realize that even the best defensive lineman Tracy Rocker has coached have largely been failures in the NFL.

Nick Fairley is a perfect example. As much as I like him and as much as I think his reputation for being dirty was overblown, Fairley has largely been a bust in the NFL. He was probably the best lineman Tracy Rocker ever coached at the college

I think all top tier dlineman should strongly consider Bama.

1.) You get NFL expose
2.) You get a good bit of reps
3.) You play in heavy rotation so less wear and tear on your body
4.) 3 increases you career longevity
5.) You will win a NC and multiple conference titles.

If Auburn gets this kid, it would likely give us 5 five stars just on the defensive line next year.

Carl Lawson
Montravius Adams
Byron Cowart
Marlon Davidson
Derek Brown

All 5 stars who will be playing on Auburn's defensive line next year. That doesn't count highly ranked 4 stars like Dontavius Rusell, Antwaun Jackson, and Prince Tega Wonogho

This. And more importantly, did Fairley get paid? Answer: yes (even though he's a bit of a head case)

Someone explain to me who Trent Thompson is, and why the UGphags troll every AU thread with him. TIA.

Auburn didn't feel extremely confident, everyone knew he was going to UGA except jlrjr.

Well it will look pretty pitiful for Georgia if y'all don't sign him, since he grew up there and followed Georgia football.

Will it though? When/if we sign 7-8 of the top 10 in the state?

In a state like UGA...its just not possible to keep them all. I think D. Brown was 100% until the Coaching change to UGA. Now its all up in the air. Its crunch time with 3 weeks left and plenty of Bagmen to go around. Hopefully we can sway him back, but if he signed tomorrow, I'd say AU.

Y'all ought to sign 7+ of the top 10 from georgia every year.
