“If you are willing to give a little extra, and we do that as a team — 11 at the time — you’ll be walking out of here a national champs. And I’ll tell you this: I expect nothing less.”

So what do you guys think our strategy will be for containing Watson? There's the "mush rush" approach and then there's the "go get him" approach. I'm not sure which one scares me less. On the one hand, I feel like Saban and company, in past years have given these types of QB's TOO much respect. The mush rush has allowed some of them to stand around back there long enough to make plays. Sometimes I think we have the best athletes on the field and should just turn them loose. On the other hand, Nick Saban is pretty good at football coaching stuff and might know what he's doing. I guess I'd just like to see Williams, Allen, etc putting Watson on his arse behind the LOS all night. But, can they do it?

I say we attack their injured DE, or whoever is recovering from a sprained MCL, early. Run right at him, make him push off on that leg, maybe cut block him a few times. Sprained MCLs are a bitch.

I think we need to rush 4 to start and see how much pressure, if any, we can get and then adjust to blitz a linebacker or maybe even DBs to counter those options. If Watson is able to escape pressure time and time again I think it might be a pretty good idea to put a spy on him, possibly Reuben.

On offense I think we need to utilize a weapon we haven't used a ton of the last 2 years and that is OJ Howard. They all know about Ridley and Henry and what those 2 can do. But I think Howard is a nightmare mismatch for just about any team. If they have to put a Safety on Howard, just have Coker throw to him until they learn. I think that could open it up for Ridley, Stewart, Mullaney and Henry. Drake needs to be involved as well.

My excitement is growing by the minute for this game! I'm nervous and excited!

Roll Tide fellas!

I couldn't honestly give less of a shite about ESPN's ratings. If people stayed tuned in longer to watch Ohio State drag Oregon up and down the field last year but wasn't interested in the game last night, then they flat out don't know good football when they see it.
