He has an Ole Miss program that the cellar dwellar in SEC basketball in the tournament discussion every year. He takes a new team basically every year and is competitive. If he had LSU's roster he would have a top 5 team right now. It's time to recognize.

For a different reason than Calipari

That is probably why people hold off on their praise.

Lets think here. What AFrican American outside of Mississippi or surrounding states wants to come to Ole Miss to play basketball? Add that to the fact we are not even a top 20 program under Nike so we can't even compete in the AAU recruiting game. So we have to live off JUCOs and graduate transfers. And every year he puts the puzzle together to compete at a high level.

This team will be like every other AK team. We will look really good occasionally and play like arse against some cellar team at least 4-5 times. Probably will be on the bubble when it comes time for that discussion.

He's a solid coach, but the guy who built a foundation at Ole Miss from absolutely nothing was Rob Evans. It's just amazing what he did there. Kennedy has been solid, but the foundation was there already after Evans and Barnes.

Barnes
was under .500 the last four years as Ole Miss head coach. Amy foundation that was built was quickly erased. When you aren't a good basketball program to begin with and have a little success, it'll be ruined with a 4 year run like that.

I'm aware of that, kind sir.

In my world, a conversation between two Ole Miss fans does not preclude one party or the other from disparaging Mississippi State University. In fact, we consider it only polite.

But thank you for your interest in our discourse. I can only assume that you cannot help but interrupt. Cheers.

He's the Dan Mullen of basketball and I'm ok with that.

AK has done more with less than any other SEC coach. I give him a lot of credit for that. His ability to take these transfers and fit them into his game so quickly is really impressive to me. I hope beating Memphis at FedEx plus having a new arena will help AK go into Memphis and recruit some talented high school kids. We will see how much of a boost this gives the program. He's earned the right to coach in the new arena.

Does your basketball team get rings for being in the discussion?

Maybe it should start with y'all. Couple of years ago, many of you wanted him gone.
