So LSU played the role of "fluffer" ?
Yeah I can see that on LSU's part

We owe our National Championships to the entire country. Thanks for not being as good as us, everyone. You did a good job at that. Kudos.

LSU fans. Seriously. What is wrong with you?
The dude broke Herschel's record.
Not everything in the SEC revolves around LSU.

I downvoted your post out of principle. Although that exhausts my allotment of downvotes for your post, I would like to add additional downvotes for your L5U and Lynyrd theories. And another downvote for your screen name.
In actuality, you now have 17 downvotes rather than 14.

I don't think any rational fan would dispute that the LSU game was the turning point because he got to directly outperform the leading Heisman candidate at the time. Add in LSU's reputation for fielding great defenses and Henry gets a huge boost.

That game was huge for him for sure. He ran huge but our front seven might have won the trophy for him.

Henry earned that trophy making other teams defenses look bad

I totally agree. In fact, Alabama owes a large amount of its success over the last 6 or 7 years to LSU.

I would upvote this 100 times if I could. Bamas D won the Heisman for Henry. If Fournette is able to get 150, he wins it.
Bamas D was way way better than I ever dreamed.

A. LSU gave Henry the biggest Heisman boost I've ever seen a player get by virtue of being completely destroyed at the line of scrimmage by Bama.
Meh, he was already in the discussion. Needed a big game on a big stage and delivered.
B. LSU is responsible for taking LF away from Bama, who (lets be frank) would be getting a minimum of half of the carries for the Tide, if not the majority.
Nah, Bama took LF away and we did with mostly base defenses. About midway through the 3rd the guy sitting next to me said "the kid from Tennessee is much better than Fournette" and I agreed. Fournette didn't win because down the stretch he faded. He may in the end be great but he was not even the best back that came through Ttown this season. I wouldn't call him one of the best 5 I saw lay in person this year. So no. We don't look at Fournette the way LSU does. Just like we don't think Zach Mettenberger or OBJ was all that hot either. Sorry, just didn't do anything against us. We covered OBJ with marginal DB's. I swear LSU fans think they invented football I believe and perfected it and we should all measuer ourselves against them. No, we stopped Fournette and quite frankly, knew we would because his lateral movement is avg.

Our inability to beat Alabama in anything meaningful since 2011 has us all with the beaten little sibling syndrome.
We seem to come in second against you too often and we are irrationally dilluded because of that.
Fournette can't run into a brick wall and break through. Lsu o line was pathetic in that game. They couldn't spread the field.

Never seen the like of it... LSU fans inability to accept that the REST of the country did no see LF as being even in the top 5 voting for Heisman.
But the epic butt hurt just goes on and on. I swear that they are more outraged about this than "21-0," "50 yard line," "it's a mauling folks," "four sacks in a row and Meth crawling off like a worm," "screen pass," "kick out of bounds," "PPs failure to intercept the ball," and many other things.
What IS it with my fellow Louisianans? No, LF is NOT as good as DH this year and tens of thousands across the country agreed. As good as LF is, as soon as he faced real-man defenses, Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss, he was only so-so.. and it is time you people admit it.
Blame it on the OL, scheme, play calling, but the results speak for themselves. He was excellent against weak teams and got shut out against strong teams. Frankly, he was lucky to finish sixth in the voting.. get that through your thick head... sixth, not second, not third.. sixth. Let it go for crying out loud. It is old, stale and you all are a bunch of crying pussys.
