USC's best teams have been based on great defense. I said from the beginning that I wanted a defensive minded HC and MUSChamp is sure to turn the defense around

MUSChamp is a great recruiter and has already brought in Tavaris Robinson, another great recruiter. Under Spurrier recruiting was an afterthought and yet he was able to win 11 games 3 years in a row when SC had talent. Under MUSChamp we won't have to wait for talent to be homegrown- we'll go out and get it.

Kurt Roper (likely to be OC) will help keep Brandon McIlwain from flipping to Penn State.

MUSChamp will be out to prove the haters wrong and give the job passion and energy Spurrier and his dumb frick son would scoff at.

Hes had experience as a head coach. Barry Odom and Kirby Smart are bound to go through some on the job training that MUSChamp got out of the way at UF

Beware SEC Here Comes the Boom

If my team was in the East I'd be confident with Muschamp as HC too.

I am more concerned about losing T Rob than Muschamp but losing both stings.

Good luck though no hard feelings at all.

What about losing Bobby Bentley as well? I know he was not a position coach but looks like hes coming to USC to be one

eta- also we are trying to hire Lance Thompson

Can't wait to see Muschamp tear into those crappy refs.

Losing those two will hurt as well. Thompson is a good recruiter in the DC, Virginia, NJ, and the Maryland area. He was the only reason why we were in the race for Gary as a matter of fact.

With that said, if we got T Rob, we stop the bleeding...and we didn't.

Jang, a sincere question. Do you think Carolina has a shot at Bentley's son, Jake?

Didn't Spurrier get you guys Clowney and Lattimore, seems like he recruited pretty well for your program.

Boom will need to bring in an entire staff of top 10 recruiters if he has to make up for his offensive coaching staff.

Spurrier wasn't the primary recruiter for Clowney or Lattimore.

He followed up Lattimore, Clowney, and Shaw with terrible recruiting classes.

I remember when UF fans started this exact thread

As an LSU fan it stings that he isn't getting a HC job in the west.

I heard it was either Auburn or Stanford. So now it may be either USCe or Stanford, who knows.
