The admins bent over backwards to accomodate Richt and placate the fans by giving him the opportunity to coach the bowl game and offering him a job within the Athletic Dept.
Richt was all for it until Miami called and now he's "buh bye"....

And if anyone's upset at him for it they're an idiot. We fired him. He owes us nothing. He had every intention of coaching the bowl game, but he has a responsibility at his new job, and like every normal human being, he's going to focus on his new job that has some problems instead of the job he got fired from.

the opportunity? It's pretty common when there's an amicable split that the coach will stay on. That's not uncommon.

Uhh no shite, he is miami's head coach. As of right now, he literally has zero contractual obligations to UGA whatsoever. Are you really upset with him for this? It's his job, he needs to be recruiting for UM and assembling a staff.

The administration thought that they could fire Richt and that he would be willing to stay around as a figurehead or meekly go away. The never expected him to be in demand and jump to another school immediately.

You DO realize UGA fired him, right? Richt does not owe anything to UGA. AND, UGA does nto owe anything to Richt. they paid him well to do a job. He did his job and they paid him. A coach should never coach one team after accepting a job from another. Certainly you aren't mad because he accepted a job?
