The SEC is still overall the best conference in football. However, it has definitely declined in the last few years. Why is this IYO?

Because teams like Scar are hiring crap coaches like Boom. If he failed at Florida, how do they expect him to improve things at Carolina?

The SEC is not the best conference this year
It may be hard to accept but it is true
College football is cyclical and we are going to have to hold the flag for this conference for the next number of years

The SEC is not the best conference in the nation this year, at least not clear cut. The Big Ten and the Big XII have good arguments of being better than the SEC.

The SEC hasn't declined.
The SEC is sooo strong now that its teams are beating up each other way too much to have anything left for the postseason. The SEC is imploding under its own strength.

Because most of the other conferences caught on and stopped recruiting as many white players.

We were never as unbeatable as 7 straight NC's made us appear. We were the best conference, but not so much greater as everyone liked to believe.
The SEC didn't just drop into mediocrity because of a couple of years where we didn't win it all. I think we have arguably slipped a notch, but not all that much. Decline indicates a pattern of regression, and it's early to start making that claim.

The conférence had à great 8 year stretch. We talked so much crap with chanting SEC every game. Its starting to come back to bite us. I think the rôles have reversed somewhat . LSU and Florida has been down and the Mississippi schools has been up. You got à fat arse coach that cant keep his mouth shut and then lose to toledo and Texas Tech. I dont even want to talk about the East. Big 10 is probably the best and the SEC is right behind them. I couldnt watch the big 12, i tried.

Big Ten? Are you serious? The top is not that strong, the middle is weak is shite. We don't have the strength at the top that we've had in previous years. The Big Ten has three teams at the top that have played almost NOBODY (Mich State has a nice ooc win, other than that, NOTHING.) Iowa is basically Ole Miss with a schedule of nobodies - if that good.
The truth is, none of the conferences this year are clearly on top. The SEC slipped back into the pack, but we're still every bit as good top to bottom as anyone out there.
